A co-worker and I bought a washer for our workplace a week ago on the afternoon of Friday 1/20, to be delivered Monday 1/23 for a $50 fee since we urgently needed a replacement for our old one. When the day got late Monday, I called. I was told their delivery truck broke. When I asked why they didn't call to tell me, they said "Oh, sorry". Then Tuesday and Wednesday went by--no call from them, and no answer or voicemail when I called them several times each day to inquire. We went to Abbey to confront them in person about this early Thursday afternoon 1/26. Two "open" signs were on, but the door was locked, no one in sight. Another guy pulled up and said the same thing happened to him yesterday. Since he hadn't bought anything yet, we told him our story and told him not to do business with Abbey. Luckily, my co-worker's credit card company credited her the full amount of the charge. Years ago, when Abbey was up North on 41, it was a good place to do business. I'd hate for anyone else to go through what we did, so please consider doing business elsewhere, such as the Sears Outlet ("scratch and dent") near the Big Chicken, or Appliance Mart (or maybe it's Appliance Smart) just a little further down from the BC. Prices are way better at Sears Outlet, but you'll get better attention at Appliance(s)mart. Take your pick.

I needed a washer. I called. They were great, even text me pictures. They delivered to my house and even took the old one and put down in basement for me. They were fast, neat, and very nice. Great washer too :) happy customer

Bought a washer and dryer from Abbey and couldn't be happier. Prices are good and you don't have to then go out and purchase a vent hose and power cord. Customer service is excellent. I've had lots of deliveries made to me in my 69 years and these were the nicest most polite and helpful delivery guys ever to come to my house. Appliances range from almost new to a little older, but they've been refurbished and it will save you a fortune.

I bought a used dryer that was delivered on a Friday. It was broken on delivery. They said that they couldn't repair it until Monday. And when I called to discuss it with the owner, the guy told me that "It Happens." He said that someone will fix it, even though it's been sitting in my laundry room, broken since they put it in on Friday! And no one cared about this inconvenience! All I got was a Sorry and we'll fix it?! No incentive to return or to earn more business! Oh, and then the owner hung up in my face! Hilarious! As a business owner myself; if you want to keep someone as a customer whose had a bad experience, you give them a percentage off the current sale. Or a percentage off a future sale. Or a free delivery on a future purchase! I do it all the time! But this guy? I felt like they are just happy to get my little bit of money and run! This is the second time I've been burned by this outfit. (I've first bought a refrigerator that leaks. It's been leaking since I've gotten it and now it's leaking a lot- warranty's gone!) But now, this is the very last time I'm going to buy anything from this guy! Oh, and I'm going to make sure that my real estate friends will take notice to avoid this outfit! I'm just glad that we bought this dryer as a temporary one until we replace our appliances. I would have thought to look their way for that major purchase, but I'm glad that they've shown me how they do business!

I had really hoped to utilize this business to buy a used appliance. However, after one experience on the phone with them, I won't even be visiting their store. It's as though they DON'T WANT my business. They won't share any inventory information -- AT ALL -- on the phone. I live a considerable distance from this store -- I'm not going to travel there just to see if the visit will be worth my while. Not only was inventory information not forthcoming, but it's as though I was a bother to the employee who answered the phone. Sorry guys -- if you can't take the time to help me out on the phone, I can't take the time to come patronize your business. The only reason I gave them "average" on QUALITY and VALUE is that I don't know, so won't rate them either way, in those categories.

I purchased a frig, gas stove, washer and dryer from Abbey's. The serviceman, Joey was very knowlegeable and professional, however my control panel on the frig was unrepairable and I needed a new frig. Bruce the salesman honored my request for a comparable stainless steel frig. Thank you to Bruce and Joey for helping me with my appliance needs.

As soon as I stepped out of my car, I knew it would bad. Dirty looks from the employees outside. Once inside, 3 people working, none of them acknowledged me. I even went there to help them by giving them a ton of free parts that a tech left at my house. Once someone did talk to me, he was very rude. It is a shame that I ended up trashing the parts when a place like this could have really benefited from them.

I was really hoping this would be a good experience, I work with a real estate investment company and purchase several refrigerators each month. I just found the company and thought they would be good. The experience was terrible and it all started with a phone conversation, wish I had a recording of the phone conversation, absolutely unbelievable! Amazing they are still in business! We will stay with the company we are already using, just wanted to try other options but NOT a good choice. If the customer service says anything about the quality of their appliances???

...if the owner of a business doesn't show his face when problems start coming up, you know there's something wrong. This is the case with Abbey Appliances. Their merchandise is sub-par and they cheat you into thinking it's in working condition. I bought a couple of appliances from them and in no more than a three month period, the problems started. Endless visits from their repair folks, endless telephone conversations with Abbey, endless promises and most of all, very, very rude. I had to fight my way into getting service within a warantee period. The only great thing they have going for them is their delivery staff.

Recently purchased an LG stainless "french door" refrigerator / freezer at less that 1/2 the retail price ... WOW its a great unit. I've had a long experience with Abbey. Bought a washer dryer set in the late 80's. Had corporate relocations to Chicago, Minneapolis, and Princeton NJ before returning to Roswell. The washer dryer set made all the moves with no problem. In the mid 90's I replaced the dryer with another Abbey unit (Kenmore) Got a Whirlpool Side by side refrigerator freezer from Abbey at about the same time to replace the unit that was in the house I bought in Roswell. About 4 years ago the Abbey Service tech "Joey" replaced some kind of relay on the compressor ... no longer under warranty the repair cost less that $85.00. Two years ago, I re-married and we built a new laundry room in the house. Well, my wife wanted to replace the old Kenmore mis-matched set that still worked. We purchased a great Kenmore set from Abbey ... wife is happy and we have not had any problems. That's why we went back to Abbey to get the latest LG Stainless French Door unit. It's awesome !!! From past experience, I'm sure it will last for many years to come.

I had never purchased a used appliance before moving into temp housing 10 years ago.Someone suggested that I visit Abbey and buy used. I got an inexpensive set to use until I found a house to buy. Teh set was reasonable and came with a 6 months parts and labor warranty. Right before the warranty expired, the machine died. Abbey sent someone out immediately. They didn;t have a used part and had to order a new part that was quite pricy. They returned and repaired the machine, no problems at all. I ended up buying a home but decided to continue with my used appliances. They lasted another 5 years!I purchased another used washer fro Abbey and have recommended them to others. They have always been fair to me.

You don't need to know any more. I have bought no less than 6 refrigerators and 3 sets of washer/dryers from them and recommended them to dozens of people in my real estate investment workshops. Never again. It won't happen.

Should have read this first. Management was RUDE and started yelling when I called to try to resolve issue. Was told that their salesman told me something that he did not. "Owner" Kathy took weeks to get in touch with, and was one of the most difficult people I've ever had to deal with!

NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! We paid to have two new refridgerators delivered and the old ones picked up. They just left the new ones in the middle of the house and left the old ones too. When I refused to pay the delivery fee they left me numerous voicemails at my home cursing and threatening me. By far the worst customer service I have ever encountered!
