I love Ace - particularly because they carry Benjamin Moore Paint, but also because generally they have good customer service. I've been to this store 3 times for paint and each time the paint dept manager has been downright rude, curt and unhelpful. The first time I assumed she was having a bad day, but 3 times - clearly she either does not enjoy her job or does not like to work with people. I no longer go to this location for paint and either color match at Home Depot or go to the Ace in Gilbert where there are much friendlier staff.

I went to get a couple keys cut, as it was one of the few places left that an actual human cut the key. My mistake..They broke my gas cap key, by pinching it in the vice and bending it. My last key for the cap too. They could not repair it and it turns out they did not have the correct blank to cut another. All I got was, "you have a problem". I see it differently..ace now has a problem and they need to fix it, and this was from the manager. My solution was to have them pay for a new gas cap. The catch was I would have to buy it and return with the receipt. Already wasting 20 minutes to cut a key, I was unlikey to do more work and return. I called the auto store and advised it was $18. Still I had to return to get my $18..All this and they hassled me for $18. It must suck to work there..if they cant eat $18 for their error. After their inability to make a decision, the manager called the owner, and the owner made a deal with a locksmith close buy, so they would just pay for a competent person to duplicate my broken key so I would not have to return. This is not a bad store..but if something goes wrong..dont expect it to be made right..what a hassle..the owner must be the ultimate cheap skate.
