Unless you want to waste your time, energy, sanity, etc. don't EVER use this company. Please check out your movers before you choose them. We did not and are having to deal with an unethical, unprofessional, unresponsive company called Advantage Movers and Storage. They are far worse than you could imagine. It would take 10 pages for me to explain my situation with them. One of these days they will be out of business and the consumers will be much safer! Trust me! They are borderline (if not actual) criminals! I think an investigation is in order here! For now, save your time, money, belongings, and sanity and don't even attempt to use this company! BE WARNED!!!

Dealing with this company was one of the worst experiences I've had. The original contract was for a 3-man crew at an hourly rate ($240 quote). The contract was changed to a point-to-point one for more than $500 without my knowledge or approval. When questioning the operations manager about what kind of "crap" he was pulling, he started screaming at me to watch my language and ended by hanging up the phone on me. The driver and handler could neither read, write, nor speak English above a rudimentary level. The move was scheduled for 3 to 5 p.m. The crew arrived at the point of origin at 7:15 p.m. and took more than 3 hours to wrap ONE bedroom outfit. It took more than 4 hours to travel less than 70 miles. Everything about my experience with this company was distasteful. Never, ever again.

We moved and the company of course came late. They then charged $40 extra dollars to wrap my 50 in. Sony Grand Wega and 32 in TV in a piece of cardboard and tape. They bounced a crate with glass down the stairs of my apartment. They scratched my wall in the new house and damaged my washing machine (in the middle of filing a damage claim...will let you know how that goes). A piece also came up missing and they are saying that we did something with it but I would not complain if I had my own merchandise. This company is horrible. Do your research. Visit their OFFICE. If you see it, you will not choose them on that factor alone.

Well, it started with a quote for 1000. The packed my stuff and charged 300 extra for "moving supplies" (tape). Then, they charged me 75$ extra because they had to walk over 50 feet (he didn't ever measure) from the car to my door. BTW, I lived on the first floor, second door from the entrance (NO STAIRS).
After that, they said I was done and I payed in full and tipped their day laborers for their work. Then, I get a call saying that they were wrong about how much cubic footage I took up on the truck and said I have to pay 250 more for the extra space I took up.
The man claimed that he would sell my stuff, so I gave in. He finally delivered the stuff (after I am now 600 over the estimate. Guess WHAT! He didn't bring my brand new 42" TV AND the box that was labeled "TV Stuff." Somehow they LOST it.
They said they would give me 50 dollars for my 1000+ dollar TV plus all the electronics (tivo, tuner, cable box, cords).
DONT DO IT! PLEASE! If you think I'm another mover writing this to discredit them, feel free to email me and I will CALL you to make you believe me. email me at strangefeedback

I would not recommend using these movers. They showed up to my house six hours late, held my furniture hostage until I paid whatever they said I owed them, overcharged me, and were rude to me on the phone when I called to talk to them.
