My dogs are my family. My wife contacted Affordable Canine Cottages after calling several other places. Based on her questions and there price we went with Affordable Canine Cottages. We came in with shot papers in hand and the be greated by a rude and nasty employee. The information my wife was given and what I was told was completely differnt. Which normally is understandable but the employee was by far the rudest business employee I have met. Considering our flight left in a few hours I went ahead and left our dogs there. To make matters worse they would not let me see the kennels where our dogs where being held. In the end our dogs came home safe and happy but I have no idea if they were happy to leave or happy to see me.

We had tried several boarding facilities and had chosen the Affordable Canine Cottages after inspecting the boarding area and talking with the employees. This is not a budget issue for us as we could afford the pet "hotels" but were put off by some of these places due to the excessive pressure to buy more than we needed (felt more like we were buying a car than renting some space for our dogs!). We were impressed with the cleanliness of the Affordable Canine Cottages kennels and the helpful staff. We have used them several times and our dogs come back energetic with no signs of stress. At other places they had lost weight and appeared stressed. Staff are very accomodating. We check in by phone while we are away and appreciate the staff's willingness to relay how our dogs are doing. They seem very careful about ensuring all special diets are given and medications are administered.

NOW THAT I HAVE FOUND THAT I AM NOT THE ONLY PERSON WHO HAD A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. YOU WOULD BE BETTER OFF LEAVING YOUR DOG AT HOME OR WITH THE WAY THEY TREAT ANIMALS, ON THE STREET!
