THe job at hand was a small natural area clean out, laying 4 pallets of sod, and seeding the rest of about 1 acre. I had asked that the bare aeras with no grass be tilled so the seed would have a btter chance but Phillip insisted that araerating would be sufficient and that it would give me the coverage I was looking for. The sod has grownn in and greened but the seed has given VERY minimal results (contrary to the expectation Phillip gave). I called Phillip about the concern and it took him a week to call me back. I informed him of the issue, to which he basically responded with "what did you expect?" I expected what Phillip told me to expect. When he began using foul language on my property I sent him on his way. LOOK ELSEWHERE!

In five years I have never had a complaint that I could not work out with my customer. I offered to reseed the yard, but Kyle did not want it done. I came out to see what the problem was, and the ground was rock hard. You can't expect seed to grow when you don't water it. The agreement we made was to till the areas we were laying sod, and aerate the areas we were going to seed. You just can't keep some people happy. Kyle is going to alot of trouble because he was unhappy with one small portion of the job. The rest of what we did turned out great. I did ask him what he expected out of the seed, because he obviously expected it to look like the sod which is unreasonable. I can't babysit every job I do and make sure the homeowner is taking care of what I install for them. If I plant seed, sod, trees or anything else it is the customer's responsiblity to make sure it gets enough water. If something does not look satisfactory I should be called immediately so I can see what the problem is. Kyle called me two months later, and there was nothing I could do.
