As a retired construction manager, project leader, home builder, and commercial superintendent, I was contacted by a friend., who was having issues with her home. All Type was hired, due to the good reviews. Two contracts later and water still leaks into her garage. I reviewed the project on site. A pump was installed in the garage floor with a plastic cover. One that will break under a car's tire. Electrical wires were run loosely along the concrete floor to the back wall. This is definitely a trip hazard. When the ground was inspected along the garage wall, I noticed that the ground was sloped toward the foundation. There was an area of loose rocks, where water would definitely drain down along the foundation wall. Chunks of old concrete (from installing some sort of drain pipe inside the garage) were laying all around. The sump was dry, even though the garage floor did get wet from the rain. This lady speak little English and is very upset with the lack of performance by this individual. There was an easier, less expensive solution.
I covered this in the comments above. The simple solution would be, and still remains to be done, is to slope the ground away from the foundation and cover a portion of 2 to 3 feet with durable plastic. Not concrete demo, or pouring. No drain tile. No pump. All this work was overkill for a simple solution.

I met Mike when he was working at my neighbors house (turns out he has work for several neighbors in my subdivision). I had some rotted facia board over my garage. When he got into the work turned out there was a lot more damaged than originally thought. Mike showed me and discussed what needed to be done. He gave me a very fair price for the additional work and the work was completed the next day. He observed my garage door opening while he was there (door was in bad shape and I thought I was going to have to replace it), he looked at door and said that the bearings were shot on one of the pulleys. The next day he was back at my neighbors house working and came up with two new pulleys and installed them on the garage door, it works like a brand new door now. I highly recommend Mike for doing any home improvement that you may need. In addition to the work at my house I have also observed the work at my neighbors house and his work is excellent.

After being rejected by many Handymen for a rush job on repairing siding, Mike rearranged his schedule to replace and paint my siding when I needed him to be there. The work was excellent and the price was very fair. Thank you Mike!

If you want the best quality work and a very reasonable and low price them Mike Petrow is your man. My garage door was totally mangled and Mike fixed it and reinforced it as well and it is working excellently. I had to pull the molding off of my bedroom door frame to get furniture in the room. Mike opened the frame an additional 2 inches added a new door and rebuilt the molding and door frame superbly. His work is awesome!!! My wife and I are extremely pleased. Mike will always be the one I call for anything home related. Thanks Mike you are definitely the best!!!

Mike was highly referred to me by a neighbor, and I can see why. He fixed 2 of my doors that wouldn't close properly, & changed the swing on my closet door to open out instead of in. He's all about good quality workmanship, attention to detail, & making his customers happy (& his prices are exceptionally reasonable). I'm very happy about the work performed (and the extra space in my closet!). Thanks, Mike!

I replaced 19 aluminum windows with energy saving vinyl windows. I had been researching window replacement for over a year when I found Alltype. Michael had the best price and when I checked his references they had all good things to say about his work. I was very pleased with how the money transactions were handled and the quality of his work. He replaced all 19 wood frames and made window cills.I am very happy with my new windows and haven't had any problems. I highly recommend Alltype Home Improvements.

My home was vandalized Dec. 12 and the contracting company had not done anything as of Jan 5. I fired them and found Mike on Jan 6 through service masters . He installed my door on Jan 8. Mike installed a beautiful Mahogany door with sidelites. He was professional, efficient, and very accommodating. The finished product is absolutely superb. I highly recommend him to anyone. I will definitely use him again for any home improvement.
