This was by far the best mechanic I ever had the pleasure of dealing with, that's why I'm so sad to see that they went out of business recently. I have no idea why they shut down, Al's Auto Service had been in business since 1977, and Mark & Christie purchased it about 4 years ago and seemed to be doing great. They were always very honest, friendly, & went the extra mile to make sure the customer was satisfied. Finding a mechanic you can trust is not easy, I'm sure I'll find another one but they won't be as good as Al's Auto Service was in my opinion.

I HAD MY VEHICLE DIAGNOSED THERE AND THEY TROUBLE SHOT THE PROBLEM. I PAID A LOT FOR IT. THEY WERE WRONG. THEY DIDNT FIX THE PROBLEM AND NOW I HAVE IT AT A RELIABLE SHOP. PRECISION AUTO EVEN SHOWED ME THE PARTS. ASKED ME TO COME TO THEM TO SHOW ME INSTEAD OF CALLING AND JUST SAYING IT. I PAID FOR THIS TO BE FIXED AND GUESS WHAT, MY VEHICLE IS NOW FIXED PROPERLY AND I AM OUT THE MONEY FROM ALS. FILING A WRONGFUL CHARGE SUIT ON THEM.

I'm nursing two cars along into their "senior" years and I think Al's is just the shop to help me do it. The Camry had to be towed in and Al's recommended a low-cost, professional tow service; quoted reasonable diagnostic costs, and then promplty diagnosed the problem and quoted reasonable repair costs. During the process, Al's noted other upcoming issues, but since the problems could be addressed later, they didn't pump for action. I visited Al's because my second, even older, car has a leak that other garages have had a hard time locating. Al's has probably nailed the cause and now we're working on when best to fix it. I think that Al's is everything I'm looking for in a good auto shop: real, reasonable, and friendly.

If you are looking for a reliable and HONEST automotive technician, these are the ones! I have been using Mark & Kristi for over a year now and have sent several referrals their way. They do the repairs right the first time, and only repair what is necessary (something that's hard to find in this industry these days). Thanks Mark & Kristi! Al Rex

Thanks a lot Al. We really appreciate your business. See you next oil change. Mark
I have had a very good experience with Al's. I have passed by a number of times and someone recommended them. I tried an oil change to see. They were all very friendly and quick. One thing I liked about the service is that they DID explain what was going to happen and they DID DO what they said they were going to do. I have come in for a couple of other miscellaneous other issues and it was all the same procedure. They have my vote. The first guy in the review was not really fair attacking the owner. There is ONE in every crowd.

Thank you for your feedback. We always do our best. We can't promise good news, but we can promise honest news.
I have taken two different cars to Al's auto about 4 or 5 times total and they were always courteous and performed the work as stated. They have even gone out of their way to pick me up and bring me back to their shop to get my car. I have referred my friends their and will continue to do so. Thanks for all you do Mark!

Thanks for the great feedback!!
Auto service can be scary, but if you trust your mechanic then it is not a problem. You know car repair is expensive, but you don't also have to get ripped off. At Al's there is no worry. Just drop your vehicle off and pick it up knowing you were treated fair and honestly.

Thank you very much. I know that most of our customers feel the same way you do. Auto repair can be expensive depending on the issue. We will not add to that expense by recommending any unnecessary repairs. God Bless. -Mark
CALL THEMSELVES CHRISTIANS!!! NO WAY. TELL YOU DIAGNOSIS IS $96 AND THEN WHEN YOU GO TO PAY, THE PRICE GOES UP TO $400. THEY DONT CALL TO TELL YOU PROBLEM WITH A PRICE. STAY AWAY PLEASE. TRUST ME YOU WILL BE SAFE. WHY DO AUTO PLACES STEAL FROM US. I AM CHRISTIAN AND ONLY WENT BECAUSE I THOUGHT THEY WERE. THEY ARE CROOKS LIKE ALL OTHERS. MARC IS A THIEF AND LIAR. I AM HONEST AND ALWAYS WILL STAY THAT WAY. WENT IN FOR SMOG AND LEFT WITH $750 BILL AND NOTHING ON IT FOR SMOG BUT $50 TEST WHICH PASSED. STAY AWAY!!!!

I am very sorry that you are not satisfied. We did not charge you for diagnostics. I offered to remove the new parts, put your old parts back into your vehicle and not charge you for the repairs we performed. I do not know what else I could offer.
As for other past repairs, in the last 6 months:
When the check engine light was on, we diagnosed the DPFE and showed you how to perform the repair yourself.
When your turn signal and back-up lights were not working, we were able to complete the repair without charging more than the diagnostic fee.
When your A/C was not working, we were able to complete the repair without charging more than the diagnostic fee.
When your vehicle was not starting, we diagnosed the starter solenoid and you chose to perform the repair yourself.
Your car has needed a lot of repairs, and it has been expensive. I am sorry about that.
As for our faith, going to church does not make us Christians. We are Christians because we have confessed to Jesus that we are sinners, we have asked for forgiveness for our sins, and we try our best to live lives that bring glory to God. Philipians 3:7-21. We treat this business as a ministry opportunity. We hope that our customers will appreciate our honesty, integrity and our sense of peace during troubled times. We hope to be a blessing to fellow believers, but more importantly we love to share the story of Jesus' life, death, burial and resurrection with those who are interested in a relationship with Jesus.
If anyone is reading this and would like to know more about a personal relationship with Jesus, they are welcome to call us, talk to a Christian friend, or find a solid Bible-based church (a church that teaches out of the Bible).
I have just entered my 2nd year with 2 cars using Al's Auto and I am still completely satisfied. The quality & honesty is worth the 30 miles I drive to get my cars serviced. Al & Christie - thank you for staying true! Shari
