I called to have empty trash can picked up (discontinued service). They gave a date 2 weeks out, which in my opinion was ridiculous. Shocker... they did not come that day. Called and they've given us another date two weeks out instead of solving the problem and offering immediate pick up. All we are trying to do is allow them their trash can back but at this point, I think I'll just take it to a dump. Their loss.

Didn't pick up bins when I sold my home as scheduled. Now they expect the new owners to do it a week later. Supervisor will not talk to me. I am telling them, I am NOT resposnsible. Bad experience.

Without any notice, American Disposal just sold our business to Waste Management (which is a company that I ceased using years ago). Waste Management was notorious for poor customer care and jacking up prices fairly often. For American Disposal to do this without even the courtesy of letting the customer know is very bad business. Waste Management is already up to their old tricks with an automated phone call to me this morning letting me know that they will be providing less service (less frequent recycle pickups) than I was getting with American. Finding a Waste company that doesn't treat the customer like "trash" seems to be a hard thing to find.

American Disposal is one of the worst garbage disposal companies I've ever dealt with. We've had two 'winter weather events' in ATL in the past month, and both times, without warning or explanation, American Disposal decided to skip my trash pickup for the week completely. Instead of working extra hours or over the weekend like other companies did, they left it up to their customers to try to find somewhere to store 2 weeks worth of garbage....TWICE! This is unacceptable and unprofessional. And to make matters worse, they refused to pick up the bags of garbage that would not fit in my garbage can! Of course I had extra trash, I had two weeks worth! I don't think it's unreasonable to expect them to pick up ALL of the trash since they're the reason why we had two weeks' worth in the first place!

Going on the second week of no trash pick up. In June. In Georgia. When I called last week they told me that they would make a note in my file, but I lived too far away for anyone to come out and pick it up for another week. No apologies. Just "It is our policy" this and "Our policy says" that. After begging a lady to have someone pick it up on Monday, that promise fell through. Today the trash was supposed to be picked up. No dice. They say that it will be picked up sometime today, but at 12:04 I am not hopeful. I swear that you will not have to put up with my phone calls any more if you would JUST PICK UP MY TRASH!! One would assume in this economy that people would care about how frustrated their customers were. I am now going with a local trash company that can handle my location.

American Disposal bought out my local disposal company and raised their price. When I cancelled their service they informed me that they charge a $20 cancellation fee. I told them that I didn't have a cancellation fee with the company they bought out but they refuse to waive the fee.

They continue to miss pick and when you call thier customer service you get "No Customer Service" as they always have a bogus explanation on why the pick up was missed. They are Liars and Cheats!!!

Wish I could give them ZERO stars. They bought out my wonderful family-owned trash service; jacked up their fees; tried to charge me a $20 cancellation fee (no contractual agreement) and THEN sent me a bill for $100 for not turning in the garbage can that I OWN. They are the worst - rude, dishonest, poor service, and cheats. STAY AWAY!!

Took our recycling can away. Said it was our fault it was stolen and wouldn't give us another one unless we paid $100. And wouldn't let us cancel without paying for the year. HORRIBLE PEOPLE>

Quoted service was half the price of Waste Mgmt. That part was great. 6 mths later, voicemail today (Friday) saying svc was cancelled because of unsafe road, one that WM never had issue with. Horsehockey. And, they will get the cans on Monday. Of course, they close the office at 4:30, so when I get the message there is no one to call for recourse or explanation, and it won't open again until...Monday. At least it was half price for 6 mths, but I didn't worry about WM. At this rate, I would say Am. Disposal's foray into the Atlanta market will be brief. I cannot recommend that sort of operation in any way.
