They were called by my home warranty company - HSA. They came by 3 times to look at my furnace. My son who is a heating and air technician (not authorized by HSA) had already diagnosed the issue so we knew which part to order. They came by first and confirmed that it was the inducer motor. They would order the part and get back to me. Then they came by the following day because they needed to get another part number. Two weeks went by and they came by again to have their senior technician look at it. He said they couldn't find both parts needed to fix the problem. My son went with him to show him the part. The man measured for a new furnace and everything. Then, today I speak with HSA and they said the service guy said there is no problem with my furnace. So, that leads me to believe that these people lie to your face and then lie to HSA (also a very bad company, too.) Do NOT use these people.

I have to agree w the post below, this company has the worst customer service. I too used this company because that's who my home warranty uses. The first time I called them out I wanted the two men to check both units in the home. They refused to check the second unit and the one gentleman acted as though he didn't even want to do the job period. They fought me the entire time accusing me of tampering w my unit. Finally they fixed an issue they found. Two weeks later I had to call them back out to fix the second unit they couldn't find the time for initially. I was told by my home warranty that it would be included in the first case therefore I wouldn't pay a service fee. Then I received a call from American Mechanical asking me for the service fee. Debbie didn't care about the poor service I received both times and rather than apologizing for my bad experience she just kept asking me for a credit card number. Next time I'll just hire my own repair man because they only do band-aide fixes and I'm in $300 later for basically nothing.

I have to say that I haven't had great experiences with service techs in the past, but I am happy to say that this was a pleasant experience. They called to let me know that the technician was on his way & when he got there, he was able to diagnosis & fixed my air all in one short visit.

I have been using this company for almost 5 years now. And its almost a year since this company last came to my home. My AC instead of blowing cool air has been blowing hot air. And when it is hot both inside and outside the home, it can be very unbearable. When I called to set up an appointment, the receptionist told me that they're pretty busy, but still managed to put me on their schedule. The senior technician came to my home and fixed the problem and I finally have relief.

I was referred to this company from my Home Warranty company. Like the first poster, what the VERY YOUNG technician wrote was wrong with my A/C was different than how they worded it to my Home Warranty company so my claim was denied to fix the evaporator coil that had developed a leak. I am having the work done but NOT by this company. Also, while I am at it, stay away from American Home Shield. Have had them for eight years and they have progressivly gotten worse and worse until they won't approve even legitimate claims.

I was told by another HVAC company that I needed to replace my entire AC unit because of some "big problems" that they wouldn't specify. They told me that to replace my AC it would cost me around $10,000. I could not afford to spend that kind of money on my AC. I called American Mechanical for a second opinion. The technician come to my home and told me that my AC was fine, I just had a tripped circuit breaker. He fixed the problem within a few minutes and it only cost me $100. I was absolutely thrilled! Not only did this company find and fix the problem in a few minutes but they saved me $10,000! I was very happy with the technician!

A friend of mine recommended this company to me. At first I was skeptical because I've had very bad experiences with other businesses, where the technician was rude and/or inexperienced. However, the technician that American Mechanical sent was the exact opposite. He even called me half an hour beforehand to let me know that he was on his way. I wasn't left worrying when or if the technician was coming at all. The service provided to me was simply amazing! I recommended this company to all my friends.

The company came out as a result of a call to home warranty service. They were difficult to get to commit to service time and date with busted heater in mid winter! Technician came out and wasn't very helpful in stating problem. We were told he would call in his report at end of business day and he didn't call until Monday morning. (after Friday visit). Then we found out he stated problem was a result of lack of maintenance. (Not true as system received maintenance 2 months prior). Very, very disappointed with service and communication. I also never heard of a heating and air company that strictly has 8:30 to 5 hours Monday through Friday only. This issue makes me rethink my home warranty company as well.
