I always call Anderson Plumbing, Heating and Air when I need plumbing or air conditioning repair. I have found the technicians who came to my home to be reliable, knowledgeable and professional. I am always confident that the problem will be diagnosed and repaired correctly.

I feel that Anderson Plumbing, Heating & Air were very helpful when they made three trips out to try and figure how to get our companies AC up and running for the summer. They gave me three different kind of options to either fix or replace the unit. They were always very courteous when ever I called or when they came to our place of business. Very professional. I will continue to recommend Anderson Plumbing, Heating and Air to my friends and co-workers. Thanks Mary Jean for the great service from you and your staff.

I had the pleasure of dealing with Anderson Plubling Heating and Air. I am a Franchisee partner of Subway Resturants. We had a problem with our air conditioning unit on one of the HOTTEST days in San Diego and needed fast service to keep our customers and staff comftorable. Being a franchisee of one of the largest fast food chains in the world requires us to follow certain guidelines from Subway. One is "all stores must be held at a comftorable temperature or they must shut down until the problem is fixed". This is not only a comfort problem for us this can be the beginning of other problems such as overheating refregeration units and cause a food safety issue for us and a LARGE loss in inventory. I called Anderson Plumbing Heating and Air, they not only got my unit running in a timely manner they were responsible for me NOT loosing any income for the day. The service tech they sent out was not only profesional and courteous he also gave my staff and I a GREAT training lesson on our whole climate control system and how to prevent this problem from happening again. Thanks to the GREAT people over at Anderson Plumbing Heating and Air they SAVED THE DAY for me.

The service was good, but the price for the work was very expensive. For 1 hour of work my cost was $380.00. This is including the $68.00 just coming to look charge. The only thing the tech did was to clean the pilot assy, the burners and some general cleaning. Wouldn't it be nice if companies just charged for the work performed and the actual time worked, not just a flat rate for each type of service.

As I've mentioned before, I really appreciate the KUDZU format and the opportunity they give our customers to anonymously provide comments on our products and services. I also appreciate that they give us a format to respond to those comments.
In researching this particular call there were a couple of things of note. This was a tenant/landlord situation and the tenant met us at the house. The landlord who authorized the charge never actually saw the amount of work that needed to be done. He did however approve the charge over the phone, prior to the work being started.
When our technician arrived at the home he found a 30 year old furnace that was not working. The $68 mentioned is not a trip charge but is a diagnostic charge to figure out what the problem might be. The furnace was in horrible shape and caked with dirt and corrosion.
Our first recommendation was furnace replacement because of the age and condition of the furnace. The second recommendation, if they were going to continue to use this furnace, was a new pilot assembly. Both recommendations were declined.
In order to get the old furnace operating it was necessary to completely tear down the furnace. Our tech removed the blower assembly, took out the flame sensor assembly which was totally corroded, removed the pilot assembly and cleaned thoroughly, vacuumed the heat exchanger, and then reassembled the furnace. The total duration of the call was 1.75 hours.
Perhaps since the customer was not on site, he didn't realize the scope of the work. Having said that if the customer after reading this is still dissatisfied, we offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee.

We purchased 2 heating and airconditioning units each to be installed in the attic and garage of our two story home. The installation was completed on schedule in a day and a half and at the price quoted. The workmen were knowledgeaable, courteous and took extra care to see that the work area was left in a super clean condition. They explained to us how to operate the quipment and make the necessary thermostat settings. We can absolutely recommend this company to all who are in the market for heating and/or airconditioning equipment. Barb & Ron

They were friendly, honest and on time. Did a great job, fair price!! We wiil always call on them for our plumbing, heating and air needs. They also were clean. We've had repair companies leave messes for us to clean up before and they left it as clean as it was when they started! A company you can trust.

I had my shower leaking hot water. I called and got an appointment same day they came on time, were clean,professional,very knowledgable,and honest about my needs. Another Plumbing company told me I needed a new shower valve and Andersons changed the cartridge in my shower valve because that was all that was needed. They also gave a 2 year warranty on the repair, the other Company gave only 1 year on the new valve. Peace of mind is definately worth it, to find a company you feel you can trust. Kyle checked all my other plumbing and assured a single mom that everything looked good, and told me how to clean my garbage disposal and what to avoid putting down it.

Very polite call takers, received a call from a dispatcher when the tech was on the way. The tech showed up on time, was very polite, discussed the end price BEFORE work was complete... a very organized company. Excellent work, will definitely be using again in the future!

We very recently had both a new water fltration system and a tankless water heater installed by Anderson Plumbing of El Cajon. The materials and workmanship was high quality, and we appreciated the knowledgeable and engaging workers that explained all of the work being done. Above all, we really appreciated the excellent timeliness of their services (all work was scheduled and done within two workdays of our request). Highest recommendation!

I had an after hours emergency issue with a toilet valve. The tech was on time, however tried to upsell me & succeeded to a degree. First, said toilet might as well be replaced, when I balked, said the bolts holding tank to toilet were rusty & loose & needed replacing or would not warranty. I agreed to the bolts. Then said the main house shut off should be replaced and on & on. Cost was over $500 for bolts & valve. I called the office 3 times to complain about the bolts at a cost of $182, so far no return call. Being alone, not plumbing savvy and female should be no excusefor highway robbery. Steer clear of these folks.

I sincerely appreciate Kudzu and the format available to the public to voice concerns when treated unfairly or unethically. Great service to our community! And - I am grateful for the opportunity to respond to the client & to the public. With all due respect to the customer and her concerns I personally tried to reach her & phone rings with no answer & no messaging device. Our commitment is to 100% satisfaction therefore a partial refund was issued for charges of concern. With regard to up sell comment-like a doctor checking your blood pressure at every visit, it is a good medical practice... Similarly, we check water pressure at every visit. You may have a symptom at the doctor and the root cause could be blood pressure-not any different in plumbing. Many times a water leak is the symptom but high water pressure causes the problem. High water pressure wears on your plumbing's entire system. Angle stops, valves, hoses, piping, just to name a few, will fail early. Any good plumber should check water pressure first. The pressure was 90 PSI (pounds per square inch). Normal pressure is 55-60PSI. Client was advised & told should repair. This is not an up sell but instead responsible plumbing practices. Regarding not responding to the customer, the following is history documentation taken from our computer notes. It is hard to handle a complaint when we cannot reach the customer. 9/17 after hours emergency, water leak in upstairs ceiling. 9/18 customer called with client concern, 9/19 10:10a, FP-called customer- no answer, 12:10 client call to ask when will manager call-Customer reguest-in system & in progress, manager will call-K.G. Fri 9/19 12:49p FP-called customer no answer-no message machine, Mon, 9/22 2:59 p FP called customer no answer no message, 9/22 4:20 client called, talked FP, " bolts only $5.00, felt pressured wants refund". FP told client -would get invoice to svc mgr, Julie, svc mgr will to talk to tech, then offer resolution, 9/23 9:24a FP called customer with resolution- no answer-no message machine, 9/24 11:29a FP called customer no answer-no message, 9/25 not able to reach customer-sent letter & check via mail . My AC went out around 3:30 on a Saturday afternoon. I called the company who installed the system (Air Doc of El Cajon)and 5 days later am still awaiting a reply (they also never returned a call about installing a new central AC system for my son ... not how I would treat a past customer). I called Anderson, having seen their info on Kudzu. They answered the phone on the first ring and a technician called me within 10 minutes and was at my door no more than a half hour later. What a contrast! The technician was very friendly and competent and stayed until everything was running fine again. I read some comments about Anderson being high priced and don't know if I could have gotten the job done elsewhere for less, but their exemplary service late on a Saturday afternoon should be commended. Sometimes you get what you pay for, and in this case I felt their charge was reasonable. I'll definitely use them again if the need arises, and would not hesitate to recommend them to others. They saved our weekend!

A tech came out to give me a quote on installing an AC system. He was polite and on time. However, there were 2 things about the visit that struck me wrong. First, their price was the highest quote I had received for the job...much too high considering the competition. Second, the tech said he'd get back to me that same day about a question he couldn't answer, and I never heard from him again. Even if he had, I wouldn't have used them due to their high price. Highest price doesn't necessarily mean best quality, so I'll go with a competitor who will do the same thing for less. I feel like it wasted my time.

First I would like to state there is no excuse for our tech not getting back to you....especially when he said he would. Secondly I would invite you to call me and discuss the situation with me. We make every attempt to be fair, honest, and competitive in our pricing...if we somehow have failed you, I would like to know that. I will be the first to tell you that we are not perfect. I would also share with you that we want to learn from our mistakes. I'm not trying to convince you to do business with us, all I'm trying to do is correct any errors that we made so that someone else will be spared the disatisfaction. We have 94 people working for us and it would be naive of me to think that every interaction each of our people has with our customers is perfect. We've used various plumbing services for many years through Anderson (from installing new toilets to leaky faucets). We feel the people who come out to work on our problems are reliable and honest.
