I would like to correct a statement that I made in my review of Anderson yesterday. I implied that perhaps the fact that the toilet was not working again might be related to the technician wanting to see us a new toilet rather than merely repairing the current toilet. Upon further investigation, we found that the technician had not turned the water back on to the toilet and therefore it was not working for that reason. Nevertheless, I stand by my conclusions that Anderson is very expensive and that the technician tried to pressure us to replace rather than repair the toilet even after we indicated we did not want to do so. And then for a charge of over $300 he was did not remember to turn the water back on, which was careless.

I wasn't completely happy with my old plumber so I read the reviews of Anderson and called them. I needed a kitchen double-sink unclogged. The technician came out and quoted a price to clean the drain (a bit high, but OK). He then took the drain apart and cleaned it, but said that it was really not built correctly, and quoted another price to rebuild it. Not thinking we would be charged for both, I agreed. It turns out that we were charged for both. However, I called to complain about this (I mean, he didn't have to do any extra work, he had only disassembled it), and the drain cleaning charge was refunded, with a single phone call. The work was excellent, the technician was clean, friendly and on time, and the charges were corrected to my satisfaction with a single phone call (but took them a couple days to review the situation). So I am rating them '4' overall. They are not the cheapest but if it's good work and backed by a good company, that's OK with me.

When the AC goes out and your 7 month old is screaming all you want is somebody to FIX it. I called Anderson based on a neighbor's referral and I was thrilled with the service I received. They came out same day, we're so quiet they didn't even wake the baby, found the problem, fix it and did this really thorough service check on the entire system fndong only one other little thing which they also fixed plus they helped me set the thermostat for optimum comfort and effeciency. I'm confident that I won't have any more problems this summer, but I know if I do they'll be there to stand behind their work.

First thing next morning, the owner, Mary called me for apology and follow up after writing the review. She was very proffesional and sincere. Listened to what I have to say and promise that everything will be taken care. I appreciate her promptness and would like to give another chance. Therefore, I would like to hold off their review unitl NEXT TIME.

I called to get an estimate on a new water heater. They sent some one out the same day! The person really knew what they were talking about! I decided to wait on the repair, because it was going to be some serious demo work to do it. Then he asked how I was going to pay for the estimate- ARE YOU KIDDING ME! I was not told when I called there would be a fee, and I have never paid anyone for an estimate- that's just crazy. I firmly believe in free estimates- I would have never called called if I new they wanted $42 just see how much it would cost to fix something- come on now-

want to first thank this customer for the kind words about our technician, his expertise and our over all professionalism. We put a lot of energy into hiring the right people with top notch skills and training is our number one priority. I sincerely appreciate that acknowledgment. We do charge a diagnostic fee of $42.00. This should have been quoted by the customer service representative at the time the call was booked. If it was not quoted the customer should not have to pay. Upon review of her comments I am not clear as to if that happened. Since I cannot tell who this customer is, I hope that we will find her during our outbound quality control customer service surveys. If we do and she paid the $42.00 we will refund that to her. Our policy is 100% satisfaction. Mary Jean Anderson, President.
Yesterday, I had a tech come out to repair my shower. I agreed to the initial quote because he told me the high price was due to labor costs. When the work was completed in about 15 minutes I was clearly not happy and posted a poor review of Anderson on this site yesterday. I also sent an email to their general email address located on their website to explain my issues and concerns. I was pleasantly surprised to get an email response from the owner, Mary Jean within 30 minutes. This morning I got a call from the tech's supervisor and they refunded half of the cost, which is fair. I also received a call from Mary Jean personally this morning to follow-up, apologize and let me know that she is addressing the issues I brought up. She actually thanked me for my complaint, saying that is the only way they can improve their business. Although, it was a hassle to have to deal with getting this resolved, I was very happy with Anderson's prompt response and genuine interest in making it right. Kudos to Mary Jane for being such a hand's on owner.

Hired Anderson to locate and repair a leak in my slab. To their credit the plumber showed up on time and was cordial. He isolated the leak quickly, but failed to cap all pipes he cut. This ultimately led to cold water backing down the hot water pipe and reflooding a bathroom I had just had dried, dehumidified and HEPA filtered. I reported the problem, but somewhere along the line it was either misunderstood or otherwise fell through the cracks leaving me scratching my head after seeing previous reviews here indicating superior service. I wrote a pretty harsh review here. Within 8 hours of posting here, the owner of the company called, was genuinely apologetic, and assured me she would get to the bottom of what happened. It appears that a number of quality control safeguards and customer feedback procedures failed this time around. I'm convinced this was very unusual for Anderson. At the end of the day, they offered a complete refund for the work that was done. As others have mentioned here, they may not be the least expensive. Frankly however, I have never seen a company in this business value customer service as Anderson does. The fact that they read and respond to every post here says a lot. It's hard to give accurate quality and value "Star" ratings since I did not give them an opportunity to re-repair the problem. However, if you are like me and believe extraordinary customer service is valuable, you will do fine hiring Anderson.

I have rencently used Anderson Plumbing Heating and Air for my mothers house and they were great.. They may not be the cheapest company in San Diego but for the quailty service and the great work it is well worth it . From the time I called into the office hearing a young lady ask me how they can make me smile, if u are having a bad day that will make it better. When the tech showed up at my house he was nice, neat,on time and prepaired for work, they cleaned up after themselves and even had on little covers for there shoes!!! Thank U Anderson's for the great work and sending a reliable honest neat and clean person to my mothers house she is a ederly lady and the tech even took out her trash for her.. I will never use another company..Thank u for all the hard work and help!!!!

A salesman, Zack came to my house, he was polite, on time and wore shoe covers. He wasn't at all pushy and seemed very knowledgable. The only qualm I had was their pricing. I have no idea how they can justify those prices. He gave me an extensive list of guarantees, and they all sounded great, but he was still thousands higher and all the other contractors.

I want to thank the customer who shared this review. After receiving this information, we contacted the customer and investigated the situation thoroughly. In fact where possible and customers would share the information, we have compared prices on other transactions. In some cases we were higher, in some cases we have been lower, and in other cases we are about the same.
Frankly we will never be the "low cost plumber" or the "low cost heating and air conditioning company". We do take great pride in providing value for the dollar spent. I would highly recommend this company. They installed a new Maytag furnace and air conditioner. Each employee was neat, clean, professional and conscientious. Jimmy was the original person who came out. I received three estimates and he was by far the most thorough. He was the only one that actually climbed up in my attic and looked around. The others did not even walk the house. He took measurements to make sure we had the right size and explained why this is so important. Ramon installed the system and Frank did some minimum drywall work. Superior - all the way. If you are making a big purchase on something you will have for 20 years, don't mess around, call Anderson,

In for penny in for a pound. Should be their motto. The guy didn't, replace the valve with a pressure compensating valve like we wanted. The guys repair lasted 2 years and 1 month, just long enough to get out of warrenty. Way too expensive for the work done. Rip off... Avoid at all costs!

After every service call we place a call to our customer and perform what we call a "happy check". It is actually a quality control check to ensure 100% customer satisfaction. We have no documentation of this type complaint on record. We would NEVER refuse a warranty that had expired only one month out. It is absolutely NOT the way we do business. If this is truly a customer I respectfully ask that you come forward and call me personally. There is not enough information on the site for me to know who you are. Women answering phone were friendly and efficient. Ruben came right on time - friendly and professional. Looked at my various plumbing issues, gave me options, and outlined prices. Did the job quickly and efficiently. Doesn't get any better than this.

I own several properties in San Diego and we've been using Anderson's for 5+ years for all our plumbing & HVAC repairs. Everyone from the initial call to the dispatcher and the service technician are polite, courtious and knowledgeable. We had a leaky faucet and got service the same day. Kyle the plumber figured out the problem immediatly and made repairs right then and there. We will definitely use Anderson's for all our plumbing and heating needs. The quality of service and excellent warranties make Anderson's the leader in plumbing, heating,AC and epoxy lining for drains and water supply pipes. I also appreciate the woman's touch apparent in everything they do.

Every one I dealt with at Anderson's to take care of a whole house repipe project this summer was highly professional, thorough and knowledgeable. Their plumbers and their dry wallers pride themselves in their workmanship. Before patching up the dry walls, I had a central vac guy come in to take advantage of the existing holes in the walls and install an additional vacuum outlet. He returned from the attic and said he was thoroughly impressed with the plumbing job in the attic. He said that most plumbers typically have a "don't care" attitude and simply throw pipes on the attic floor, with scant regard for subsequent tradespeople's need to walk on the attic floor without stepping on water pipes. He said he was pleasantly surprised to find a clear walking path in the attic, with the pipes neatly laid on the side! Surprisingly, I found that their prices were not much higher than others I checked with. And on top of it, they honored a very good online deal for a free whole house water filter.
