at 10:30pm 5/26 my 2 dogs got a bite by a venomous snake ( not sure which kind ). I rushed to this clinic since it is the nearest to my house ( 5 mins away). Dr Fitzgerald was the attending vet. The guy at the front desk was understanding of my emotional wreck of a self. I wished I caught his name. Honestly I believe they saved my 7 yr old chow's leg & possibly her life.( she got it worse then the younger one) However, the next day when I called to check on them and see if they could be picked up, Dianne told me "they were busy" & " she'll fit me in." when I got there, only 2 people were in the waiting room ( granted they could have been busy in the back ). Dianne was VERY disorganized and confused ( couldn't remember which papers she gave me, which ones she needed etc). I asked to speak with the attending vet. that never happened. I also asked for copies of both dogs blood test results..she said they wouldn't have them ready for another 5 hrs..what the heck 0.o. I left frusturated with out those copies as well.( spennding 2.4k I thought I should have something besides the bill in writing ) speaking of, when I got there I owed an extra 200 dollars, and when I asked what for she said she didn't know but " be assured, that whatever they are charging you for, they did ". while I was waiting she also answered her personal cell & left me hanging. while standing there a guy came up to the counter & GAVE dianne money back because SHE handed him too much money back. Avoid Dianne!

Our new puppy was diagnosed by with Parvo. Drs. Hawkins and Fitzgerald along with their team, took great care of her during some very trying times. I'm not sure we would still have her if we hadn't taken her to them. They took a personal interest in her, going above and beyond to work with our regular vet. They have been celebrating every little improvement right along with us. If she has any further need for an emergency vet, I will ONLY go to AECNF.

Brought my dog in as she had eaten trash and was lethargic. I asked for an estimate and they told me $322. I said OK. When they brought my dog out the bill was $524!!!!! I complained and the (useless) front office lady was no help. I asked for the Dr., but he refused to come out sending word there was nothing to talk about. What makes it worse is that they did not include charges (i.e. the "emergency fee" and "office visit") in the estimate that they knew would be charged on the final bill. Very dishonest business practice.

We are very appreciative of the after hours vet services, but both of our experiences here were very negative. First, they failed to effectively close a gash on our dog's hip, causing us to have the sutures completely redone at another vet. The second time, the vet was condescending and basically mean to us about how to treat our dog. We were emotional at the time, but he showed no care or understanding. There are other after-hours options that we will use next time that are farther away but will probably offer better care.
