We are very happy with our pool. Keith (the sales guy) did a great job on explaining the process and Steven (superintendent) kept the progress moving along. We spoke with several companies who preached against using the BIG company (said you were just another pool) but we felt the most comfortable with these guys. Everything happened exactly in order and on time as they said it would.

When my wife and I decided to get a pool, we had several companies come out to our house. We chose Anthony & Sylvan for a lot of reasons, but mainly because of their warranty, and the comfort it gave us as first time pool buyers. When our pool was complete, we had a small problem with our pump. It was fixed the day after I called them. We love our pool, and have recommended Anthony & Sylvan to our friends and neighbors.

In contrast to an earlier unfavorable post about Anthony & Sylvan's General Manager, my company has plastered over 1,000 pools for A&S nationwide in the past 7 years and I have had a far different, and far more extensive, experience with them. I have known the Atlanta GM for 15 years, and as the exclusive applicator for Pebble Tec in this state, my company touches 100+ of A&S Atlanta's projects annually. We pride ourselves on only working with the finest quality pool contractors, and A&S is one of them. I have seen their GM go above and beyond countless times to make sure his customers get the best value for their pool, on time and as ordered, that I find any negative reports about them to be the rarest exception, and never the rule.

Wow, we just finished our pool 2 weeks ago and we've been in it everyday. It's perfect. Everybody at Anthony & Sylvan was so helpful and dealt with all of my 1,000 questions. The contractors we very professional and my Project Manager, Steven was excellent. Finished on time and way above my expectations. Thanks guys for everything you did.

Love the pool they built. Love the saleman, did a great job. We really did not have to many problems during construction except for the extra charge for digging out your pool if they run into rock. Of course they ran into alot of rock. The customer service is a joke. The lady at the Norcross office you are suppose to call never answers her phone. We finnaly had to call our saleman and escalate the issue. She finally calls with some lame excuse as to why she never returned my 20 voice mails. I had the same problem as one of the other reviewers below. I had one problem that kept reoccuring. Instead of replacing the part they kept fixing it. It just continued to break. I had a hard time with that issue and it was never resolved.

I had Anthony Sylvan build our pool in 1999. Everything went just as planned. One crack appeared in pool (2000) which they repaired, I was not satisfied with the look of the repair (nor were they), they drained and reshot the entire pool! And they paid my water bill for re-filling the pool. 8 years and no problems. Great job would definetly have them build my next pool.

Basically, think twice before using A&S pools. Their sales force is great, however we are still trying to fix an issue with the pump/cleaner that has never worked properly from the day it was installed. Rather than fix the issue properly, they have "jimmy rigged" a solution that not only causes additional work to the homeowner, it did not solve the problem. There have been numerous trips out to our house, yet the issue is still not fixed.

It might be cold right now but I'm using the spa. From start to finish Anthony & Sylvan did a great job. They were able to understand what I wanted and they put it together nicely. My backyard is ready for the summer! I'm glad I went with them.

We signed a contract with Anthony&Sylvan in June 2005, but construction did not begin until August since it was "particularly difficult" to obtain a permit from the City of Roswell, according to A&S. During construction, A&S cut our phone line twice and broke our main water line, but refused to reimburse us for the repair expenses, since the damage was "unforeseeable." The concrete deck surrounding the pool has numerous cracks one year after it was laid, but, once again, A&S refuses to take responsibility since concrete is an "imperfect" surface. Our original pool heater was defective from the start, and it took over 8 months for A&S to replace it. Bottom line: A&S has an excuse for everything, and rarely accepts responsibility for their mistakes. A&S has been stalling for over 6 months on some unresolved issues with our pool.

We started our pool search in March, 2005. We thought we did the right thing by obtaining 5 different quotes. We made our decision based on price, pump / filter, and pool size (best value, right?). Pool Company #1 ran in to a problem obtaining a permit... 10 WEEKS LATER they had done "absolutely nothing"! They forgot about us. We decide to take our business elsewhere and went with Anthony and Sylvan for our pool. Unfortunately, pool company #1 would not return our 10% deposit ($3,685) citing a line in their contract (design and permitting work). Anthony and Sylvan was able to coordinate the work with the septic company, permit the job, and start work within 5 weeks. Total construction time took 7 weeks. They were a little more expensive but definitely worth it for their expertise and ability to complete the job. Pool Company #1 was about $2,600 cheaper than everyone else. Obviously there was a reason! I specifically did not mention the name of Pool Company #1 so that Kudzu would keep this post on their site. My best advice is: 1. Read every line in your contract 2. Do not give a large deposit 3. Don't be cheap, you can't go back and make it a bigger pool. Get the pool you want 4. Only do business with a company that actually has an office or store!

Slow construction. Changing employees during project. Poor quality.
