Took my 3 cats to this vet for their vaccinations. Cost me $666. The vet said I would need to come back in for a follow up booster shot. She said this visit would be a quick and that there would be no charge for this second visit. I took my cats in this morning and they checked me out saying that I owed $84. I explained that I thought there would be no charge for this 2nd visit, ended up paying $84. They left a message saying that they told me that there would be no exam/office charge for the 2nd visit. That's like me coming over to fix an appliance, charging you, telling you that I will need to come back next week and that this 2nd visit will be quick with no labor charge, then when I do come back, surprise you by charging you more money and when you dispute what I'm charging you for, I explain that there was no charge for labor, but that the charges are for installation - WTF! Don't come here if you can't stomach getting your heart broken and being misled.
Area Hoschton, GA
Cost $500 - $999

After reading a few positive reviews on this vet clinic my husband and I took our dog in for an appointment to evaluate a suspicious mass on his skin. The front office attendant was nice and the tech was kind as well. I never met the doctor. After waiting 45 minutes for her to come to evaluate our dog the vet tech entered the room and presented us with a treatment plan. He told us that the vet wanted to make sure we were ok with the cost before we waited any longer. I, being in the medical field myself, was very confused how a treatment plan could be presented to the patient when there had not yet been any sort of examination by the doctor. I am all for knowing a cost prior to proceeding with a treatment but establishing a cost/treatment plan before even laying eyes in the patient. What a waste of our time. We will not go back!

Dr. Wanchick is great and we are so grateful we switched to his practice. He takes great care of our pets and they just love him. He is also willing to help out future vets like our oldest daughter by letting her come in and help him out. She couldn't be more thrilled! Dr. Mike always takes that extra step with your pets needs and if I have questions, he always tells us to call him day or night. Thanks for all you do!!

Had a wonderful experience at Appalachee Ridge. Dr. Wanchick and his staff were very thorough and easy to understand. Down to earth, practical with a good sense of humor, he treated my 17+ year old cat with the respect and dignity he's earned after all these years. Prices are fair; rooms are clean and no "vet" smell.

I read the reviews and gave ARAH a chance. First visit, I explained I needed to know, in advance, when, what, how many shots my puppy (born 2/23/10) would need then after his second visit, which involved a multitude of shots/boosters, I had their groomer groom my baby, which didn't meet my husbands expectations. Well, I went ahead to schedule another groom, but when ARAH follow up days later, they start adding on all these other boosters, they said "I might as well get done"! I was furious! I asked when would they have let me know that my pup needed more boosters if I did not schedule the grooming and why wasn't I told this during his last series of shots! Although, I'm sure they want to leave a good impression, their mistake with me was making me feel they were nickle and dimeing me (flu shot among the list of shots)! That's a serious no no with me. So I fired them and am taking my business to their competition down the street and I am going to inform them, let me know in advance and you won't have a problem with me leaving you. You'll just have to explain what the shots are and why my pup needs the shot(s) :-)

Dr. Wanchick and staff are wonderful! They are always willing to help and take such good care of our pets. We also use the groomer there for our dogs and cat and she does a fabulous job! I always feel welcome at ARAH. They are so nice and knowledgeable. We wouldn't go anywhere else!

We've had nothing but great, positive experiences with the entire staff at ARAH. From routine check-ups to difficult surgeries, Dr. Wanchick and staff have taken care of our animals with a warm, caring attitude. It's nice to get small-town treatment in a big city.

I recently started going to ARAH after I felt my previous vet didn't always have my "kids" best interest at heart. Whenever I bought my kitty in there we were always treated with such care. When my husband and I decided to get a puppy I called over 12 times the week before we picked him up; they never once got frustrated with all my questions and were happy to help. Both the vets and the staff are great and there prices are good. They never charge me for anything without making sure they have my approval; which my last vet never did. I never have a surprise bill and knowing that they love my kids means the world.
