My wife had all her account depleted within hours of checking her balance. When she tried to get in touch with the 24 / 7 number (on a Saturday) for reporting lost / stolen cards it was malfunctioning. We were successful in stopping the merchandise from being sent to the fraudsters, but during the whole ordeal, Associated Credit Union never called about the fraudulent transaction. They allowed it. Then they unilaterally shut down my wife's account without her permission so she could not write a check and let overdraft cover it (she had money in savings that Associated would have taken.) The fraud came from within Associated Credit Union and only Associated Credit Union. We were stuck for the week-end with no money and unable to buy groceries. My wife ended up losing two days of work and when we tried to straighten this out, Associated Credit Union violated their own policies THREE times with severe breaches of promised privacy. Two separate employees asked me for my wife's SSN (which they claim they will not do) AND both of them talked in detail to me about her account and I'm not even listed ON that account. This was the second time my wife's account was depleted of funds and there are numerous instances of people making fraudulent attempts to charge stuff. Luckily my wife looks at her account twice a day. We're headed for court; the rest of you had better head for another financial institution.

This is a great credit union. If I had to state a negative,it is the parking lot. The layout is poorly designed. For instance, for cars to enter the parking lot, they must cross the lines of cars waiting for the drive-through windows. This makes it almost impossible to get in during busy times of the day. It is inconvenient mainly because of the parking lot. If you plan to do most of your banking at another branch or by mail, this will not be a concern to you. If you are banking at one of the commercial banks and paying $15 a month, then you really should get a credit union membership. You will not be sorry you did.

I have been with this bank for the past 12 yrs and I have had no issues whatsoever. This bank is unlike other commercial banks where they are more interested in 'extracting' money from the clients by hiding relevant information or by misinforming the customers aka BankofAmerica.

I have been doing business with this branch for twenty years. I have seen a change in the service at this location due to the opening of a new branch on Hwy. 20. My favorite staff members have moved to the new location, which is good because it is closer to me.

I've received curt customer service more than once. Drive-thru tellers are rude. They're more concerned with clocking out for the day or going on lunch or whatever rather then helping customers. Once I waited in the drive-thru line for twenty minutes and when I got the to window I was told they were closed and it was too bad even though I got there well before closing. On two occasions ACU has had to refund me return fees for issues that were their fault. The only good thing I will say is that my car is financed through them and their interest rates are pretty low. But overall there is no advantage with ACU that you can't get at a bank.

The credit union has fantastic service. Prompt application handling. Would like to see more branches, but overall pleased. Car Loan rates are ok, but many dealers will match or beat their current rates. Home loan rates are fair and should be considered if you are thinking of refinancing.
