I have used this credit union for about 15 years but their recent changes to online banking have made it impossible to continue with them. Without your cell phone you cannot obtain a code that allows you to connect with online banking. This rules out GSM foreign locations, cruise ship internet, and computers with internet tracking turned off. If you never travel anywhere where your US phone will not work it is just annoying. If you travel outside the country it is impossible. Goodbye Associated.

These people are TERRIBLE!!!!!!! My mother has been a customer there for 30 years and has gotten multiple loans from them which she has always paid back. Recently she lost her job and was having trouble making her car payment. She contacted them multiple times and never got a response. She tried to work out a loan modification or other plan and they flatly refused. They repossesed the car and sold it for about a third of her loan and told her she still owed them the difference. After trying to work out a repayment plan with them for the balance that was still left they emptied her account and then closed it the day before she was supposed to get her unemployment check direct deposited. They told her as a "curtesy" they would let her get this money out by the end of the week. She was trying to repay the loan rather than simply walking away from it like most people would have done and they treated her terribly. They even had the nerve to say that they had been trying to get in touch with her about the loan and couldn't which I know for a fact was a flat out lie. BEWARE before you put your money in this bank and especially beware taking out a loan. They're you're best friends when you have money but the minute you hit hard times they'll screw you over BIG TIME.

They really need to get their site into this century. There is no way to just pay a loan payment with them online. I only have the loan through them. You would think that they would have a payment gateway where you could use a credit card. Or, they are a bank (credit union, I know), they should be able to take check payments as well. I have had many loans through other banks, and this has never been so difficult. Then, the phone payment prompts are messed up, and doesn't allow you to setup a first PIN. Maybe I'm being a little harsh, since I design customer-facing apps for a living, but I literally spent 45 minutes to try and make a simple payment. And now, I have to actually go in to a branch to make one. I'm getting this car refinanced somewhere else fast.

I've been a member for over 15 years and up until the month of September 2009 had minor no complaints such as the ocassional snippy or ignorant tellers. But in September and now this past weekend in October the ATM network is having issues again!!! No notice that there's a problem until you are checking out and are declined even though there is sufficient funding. Their own ATM at a branch location won't complete a transaction and they have ZERO after hours phone number so we are SOL til Monday. This is the second time in less than a month there have been problems and while they don't hesitate to charge us for anything we don't get the same in return when their system is f'd up. I'm seriously considering moving my account from them.

I've been with them for about 15 years and mostly happy with the service. Biggest beef comes with online banking being used as a billboard for advertising. At least it has been content appropriate for banking however it is much like having an ad pop up in a spreadsheet. All in all it is "small town" in "feel" and services, they have been good and stable.

We've always had very good service with this credit union. We also use online banking with no problems. The fees are very low. I've heard horror stories from my friends about their banks and we've never had any of their problems.I would recommend this CU.

I use the direct deposit and internet banking services frequently. The service charges are minimal and the interest rates are competiive. Recommended!
