We are so lucky that we chose Mr. Kevin Barre as our home inspector and we are so pleased with the job he has done. He has 25 years of experience in building houses and 13 years experience in home inspection. So he is very knowledgeable about finding problems with houses. Mr. Barre's inspection was incredibly thorough and he caught every single problem with the house, big and small. Meanwhile, he provided good suggestions for fixing the problems. His 28 page report with photos is so easy to read and understand. He explains the professional terms that a normal buyer would not be familiar with in common language. He is very professional while friendly to talk to. We are very thankful for the hours (double the amount of time he quoted for the job) he spent on the job. This was definitely money well spent!!! We really appreciate Kevin's professionalism, patience, guidance and attentive response to our questions. We highly recommend Mr. Barre to any sellers and buyers without any reservation!

Kevin's extensive experience was apparent from the first conversation we had over the telephone. His demeanor and thoroughness are no less impressive when he is conducting the inspection and when he does his owner/buyer walkthrough afterwards. His written report was quickly delivered, exceptional, and very thorough. The language was easy to follow and the photos were very clear. In one instance he included a diagram/example photograph of how the repair should look once finished by a professional. I highly recommend Kevin's firm to anyone looking for an objective and thorough home inspection in the Central Arkansas area. Brandon W. Benton, AR

From the moment he met me I could clearly see that Kevin was very dedicated and thorough in the home inspection. He walked through the house with his audio/camera and captured inspection events with his audio equipment and took pictures that explained in the inspection report what was wrong/or needed to be fixed. He also suggested recommendations and was familiar with HVAC, electric, and the city building code regulations. After he completed the home inspection he walked me around the house and gave me a heads up of what to expect in the report. I recommend him for his knowledge, efficiency, and excellent reporting.

Buying a home from 450 miles away isn't easy, but Kevin Barre definitely helped to make it much less of a challenge. After speaking with several inspectors in the Little Rock area, we chose Mr. Barre to do our inspection for us. He sounded very knowledgeable and was reasonably priced compared to the others. He also has experience inspecting historic homes, which was very important to us. He really took his time inspecting the property and put together a very detailed and accurate report. The 31 page report was immaculately prepared. He included photographs and very detailed descriptions of every single corner of the property and suggested when and how any issues needed to be dealt with. He takes his job very seriously and is a professional in every way. It is obvious that he has a lot of experience and that he takes pride in his work, which is very admirable.

In this home buying process everyone involved is out for something. Agents work on commission and get paid faster if they get the house sold faster. Most agents DO NOT want the inspector to slow the process and they will refer you to an inspector they know will do the job fast and gloss over things. I hired Mr. Barre to inspect 3 homes for me and I believe he was the only person in the home buying process that was truly working for me. He gets his pay the same way regardless of the result so he is unbiased. He is a wealth of knowledge and knows the problems hidden behind the disguises sellers have used to mask chronic problem situations homes have. His inspection report is a a great guide to discovering the TRUE condition of the house and the TRUE amount you should pay. My time spent reviewing inspections and speaking with Mr. Barre have given me a much better understanding of the situations (water drainage specifically) that lead to chronic foundation and structural problems in a home. These are the problems that are expensive to "band-aid" and even more expensive to correct. A buyer needs to know these situations and how they stand when entering into such a huge investment. I consider the money spent with Mr. Barre to be a bargain. You are going to hand out a ton of money to people connected in this real estate game, some you will never even see. Do yourself a favor and spend a small portion of that money on a service that is actually going to benefit you.

I am a first time home buyer on a tight budget needing to know exactly what I am up against in a new purchase. That being the case, I need to know in detail all of the pros and cons of the home I am seeking to purchase. Kevin Barre (Assured Home Inspection) was very helpful and professional. He appears to be unbiased / objective, ethical, thorough, and reasonably priced. I know little about homes and the mechanics of repairs. He took the time to explain his findings and answer my questions during a walk through after the inspection. After I received his report, delivered exactly when promised and in a very timely manner, I had friends more knowledgeable than I review the report. These individuals felt it more than adequately covered all of the aspects of the home one needs to understand to make an educated decision. I am impressed by his professionalism and effort to make statements of fact and educated professional opinion as opposed to "property bashing," of which I have heard some inspectors accused. Mr. Barre actually appears to be objective, as his attention is to THE FACTS while reminding me not to be afraid of the report as every home will have its problems. It is just weighing out all aspects of my situation to see if I will be able to handle any repairs that should be made. I would HIGHLY recommend Mr. Barre!

Found Kevin Barre on an internet search, and contacted him via his website form. He got right back to me on email and we easily communicated what was needed and set up a time. I was not having my home inspected for selling....because of the age of the home and the fact that I was going to do some improvements, I wanted to know if there were problems I needed to address in a 60 year old home before I spent money for cosmetic purposes. Kevin did a good, thorough inspection and helped me prioritize what I needed to see to first, and what could wait. I recommend Kevin highly....he was very professional and through, was on time and very easy to deal with.

Kevin performed a pre-buy inspection for me on a 40 year old house. When I first contacted Kevin, he did a great job in explaining what he would be doing and how the inspection process worked. You should visit his web site to see a sample report. His report is very professional, and easy to understand. After the inspection, Kevin did a excellent job in communicating what he discovered, what future issues may arise if left uncorrected, and how best to correct the discrepancies he found.
