I have a life long passion for all animals. I love to pet, feed, bathe and play with dogs.I strive every day to make this world a better place for animals. We as humans must be their voice and help make this a more humane nation.
My fur baby and I love the spa!, she loves to go on a daily basis because her friends are here. The staff is 100% evolved with the safety and love our my baby. I am able to watch annie anytime I want to on the dog cams that us connected to my phone. Every morning annie goes to her bag and leash and let's me know she wants to go play. The staff is AMAZING!. You try it once you will be going on a regular basis. 5 STAR!!!!

I brought my black labrador, AMBER, to Atlanta Dog Spa for grooming at the suggestion of a friend - and after dropping her off for the appointment, headed back to the spa to pick her up. She was bleeding profusely from one of her toe nails as it'd been clipped way too short. The best the manager could offer me was a bandage, which promptly came off after I loaded her in the car to take her to our vet. I was told by the vet that they'd never seen a nail clipped that short before, and that someone VERY inexperienced must have preformed the nail clipping. Irate, I called Sarah, the owner of the Dog Spa, demanding compensation for the $80 vet bill - and the best she could offer me was a discount on future doggie day care. I will NEVER trust this sham of an operation with my dog ever again. To add insult to injury, this business has illegally added me, without my consent, to a SPAM text message list which I'm unable to subscribe from. (Spam texts received 2/14/12, 3/1/12, 3/1/12)

When you walk into the lobby, yes this place is clean, organized and the staff is very friendly and personable. Downstairs where they keep the dogs for daycare is like walking into a dungeon, dark damp and smells strange. I'd say if you have a large dog this place would be "OK" but their small dog section is pitiful and teeny tiny. Many of the dogs that go there are more aggressive than would be excepted at other reliable dog daycares. I would not leave my medium size dogs here.

I was looking for a place with a home like feel, someplace with grass, someplace without agressive dogs (no pit bulls), all close to downtown. They are wonderful!!

I have used Atlanta Dog Spa many times over the last two years, but never again. Some of the staff who I have interacted with lately have been a total turn off (not saying thanks, not smiling, not seeming to love dogs, acting aloof). On my last visit, they left me waiting in the lobby for 20 minutes with no explanation and an unconvincing "sorry about that" when I paid the bill. One time I scheduled a pick up from my home, and they called and canceled 30 minutes before. I almost missed a flight because of it. This last visit was the final straw. When I came to pick up my dogs, all of the dogs were in the front yard with NO SUPERVISION (no one in yard or at window/door) and both of my dogs weren't wearing their collars. Anyone could have opened the front gates. I was horrified. Furthermore, one of my dogs had diarrhea smeared all over his back end and one of his legs. They just let him run around like that with the other dogs, which has to be a health violation. I had paid for a bath, and they didn't even offer to redo the bath or not charge me. Both of my dogs had diarrhea for three days after they came home, which is unusual for them. I should have taken a clue from something that happened on my first visit. During the walk-through we entered an empty yard where there was an elderly dog sitting in one corner (direct sunlight, no shade) who had been left there by accident. No one who cares enough to pay top-dollar boarding prices would expect this sort of an experience.

I went out of town for about two weeks and left my dog at Atlanta Dog Spa. I provided the staff with every possible phone number to contact me, and I also provided my dog's vet's contact information. At some point, my dog broke her leg, but the staff did not realize this. They eventually took her to the Humane Society Vet who gave my dog antibiotics. I never received a phone call informing me that anything had happened. When I came to pick her up, they told me she hurt her leg and was given antibiotics. Immediately, I noticed she was not walking properly and rushed her to my vet. My dog had a spiral fracture and was in a cast for 6 weeks. Her leg will never be perfect again because the staff did not provide her with proper care. I called Atlanta Dog Spa to inform them of the seriousness of my dog's injury, but they just said sorry and shrugged off the whole thing. I have not boarded my dog since. I will only allow her to stay with friends and family who actually care. If you love and adore your dog, do not send him or her here!

We traced your email back to your name Alyson from Miami, FL. Your dog has never been to our facility. We have not taken a dog to the Atlanta Humane Society Vet clinic for an injured leg as you claim. They don't even take walk-ins. Furthermore, you state that the vet only gave your dog antibiotics. Everyone knows that any responsible vet would have done an X-Ray if your dog's leg was injured. We looked your name up in our client base. NO such name exisits. And if there was a dog that injured their leg at our facility, we would certainly know about it.
I've had my Albino Boxer Stevie for almost 4years. Atlanta Dog Spa is the only place I use boarding/daycare for him because is a "Special Needs Animal" and requires specific attention. Because of his inability to hear he only responds to hand signals and body language. The handlers at A.D.S. have always given him the utmost attention and do their best to feel comfortable when I travel. The ability to see my animals on a video cam if I miss them too much when I am away. They are very well organized, cordial and keep a spotless facility.

The staff at the Atlanta Dog Spa is amazing. They actually care about every dog like its their own dog. Its very clean and fresh. They use all natural shampoos and cleaners. If you ever want the best possible care for your dog, please bring your dog to this place. You will be so happy. The value exceeds any place in Atlanta and most everywhere else. The Atlanta Dog Spa was just voted Best of Atlanta 2009 by the US Dept of Commerce. That says it all.

We went to check out the Dog Spa for our dogs for a possible extended stay, all I can say is the place is really run down and dark, the room they going to put our dogs in was dirty and damp. Also there was only one member of staff supervising the dogs at the time, it was a very depressing place to visit. Thankfully we found a fanastic kennels that is clean and is properly staffed..... I wouldn't even bother checking this place out until they give it a good clean up!

Yes, you definitely missed something. Our lighting is dimmed in the canine lounge and movie rooms for a spa feeling. We only use KENNELSOL to clean our facility. Most kennels and daycares use bleach which will eventually cause lung infections to your pet. As per the Pet Services Association which we are long time members, we have 1 handler per 10-15 dogs. We divide our dogs into separate play groups for safety. Most daycares have 100 dogs per day with only 2 handlers total. We have 30 dogs per day with 4 handlers. Yes, you definitely missed the level of CARE that we give to each and every dog. That is more important than anything and our loyal clients will agree. Furthermore, our kennel is the Cleanest in Atlanta as many will agree from all the positive reviews listed below.
I used to take my pup to ADS, but stopped after several horrible interactions. ADS frequently overcharged me by adding extra days to my boarding. When I would question the overcharge, I would always get "I don't know how that happened". They once lost a toy I left for my pup to feel safe. The owner accused me of lieing about leaving the toy and said I was just trying to get a free toy out of them. It was a two cent squeeze toy for crying out loud. Needless to say, they called the next day when they found it. The interior is disgusting beyond the lobby. Save your money and go somewhere else.

This is the first we have heard of any toy not being returned in a timely manner. We write down all items on each dog's kennel card as we have done for 7 years. We also have webcameras so that anyone can see our interior including all kennel areas and common areas. Our interior has been on several television shows and has always had nice reviews by those visiting. We certainly apologize if you had an unfavorable experience. We feel that our entire staff are committed every day to taking the best care of our canine guests.
My dogs love going to the dog spa for doggie daycare. Actually, they love it so much the days they don't get to go, they stand by there leashes and pout as I leave the house. I love being able to check in on them on the doggie webcams. All the staff is very friendly and know my dogs names when we walk in the door. Great place to take your dogs!

Thank you for allowing our staff to care for your beloved canines. It is truly our passion.
My dog loves to go to the spa for grooming, daycare, and boarding. I love being able to check on him on the doggy cams. The staff is very caring, knowedgable, and pay attention to detail. They know my dog personally and always give me a full report on his days activities. I would never take my dog anywhere else!

I started taking my pup here over a year ago and he loves it as much as I do! I was so relieved to find a place where he could run around all day instead of being locked in a crate. Unfortunately, I'm moving to a new city and I don't know what I'll do without the great gang at ADS! They will love your dog as much as you do.

My hound has been "going to school" at the Spa since 2006. The staff ther eknows him when he walks in. They know his quirks, his allergies and virtually everything about him. It is so comforting to know that someone who loves my dog just as much as I do is watching him while I'm away. And now his 2 best friends go there, too!

I am one of those "crazy" people who consider her dog her child. I would not entrust her to anyone but Atlanta Dog Spa! I can't imagine a place where she would get more personalized attention - from fabulous pictures emailed of her at play, birthday cards and gifts, and even her own personal bed to rest on at lunch. I can tell they truly love her, and I'm not sure there is anything she enjoys more than being there. She'll begin to cry out in delight every morning as we approach "daycare!" Once we arrive she immediately runs behind to desk to say "hi!" and then runs straight to the back to play - no time to even say bye to Mom and Dad. I think her opinion is a true testament to how great a place this is! They have bent over backwards to accommodate her - after surgery, when her play was to be limited, they let her hang out in the front office and be a greeter to the other dogs. I cannot express how happy I am that she has a place to go during the day where she is loved and has lots of friends, both human and canine! It's worth noting ADS is also very "green" and makes large efforts to prevent the inhumane treatment of animals on several levels. You couldn't find a better group of people to care for you dog whether it is for daycare or a long trip overseas!
