About my Experience with Dr. Girish Anand: With everything else going on in the world, it appears as though common courtesy, common sense, privacy and professionalism has disappeared in the mist of All the turmoil. With that being said, my visit with Dr. Girish Anand proved the above mentioned statement to be true. Although, I'm not a Doctor there are basic rules, guidelines and principles that should be followed with the primary being patient privacy, especially in a healthcare setting. Rule Number 1, Never to discussed and or disclose patient information in an open area; for this reason I'm rating Dr. Girish 1, this is a Violation of Patient Privacy, treat patients the way you prefer to be treated.

My husband and I are each patients of Dr Girish Anand. I wish I could give the office a decent rating, because I THINK Dr. Girish Anand may be a decent doctor. Unfortunately, we have had to also conduct business through the office staff, who have exhibited no customer service capabilities. Receiving a return call proved to be almost impossible, and unfortunately the same proved to be the case with test results and surgery scheduling. My husband has been trying to have surgery scheduled for literally months, and it still hasn't occurred. Today I began calling the office every 30-minutes in an attempt to get someone to move forward with scheduling. Four (4) calls later and I'm still waiting for a return call. After Note: Finally, a return call received, only to be told that Dr Anand will have to 'review the chart and someone will get back with us'. If you need surgery or ongoing care I can only wish you better luck that we have had.

Terrible patient service. I have called the office on four separate occasions; however, I am still waiting for a call back. If you are looking for full service treatment, make your appointment somewhere else. This may be a big practice; however, that is not an excuse.

Be careful you don't get lost in the monolithic organization called Atl. Gastroenterology Associates. I have been dealing with an issue with them for 1yr+. My husband and I both had colonoscopies in Dec 2009 and were assigned 2 different drs. We discussed with both doctors that the ins. co. assured us that the procedures were fully covered the first time. Dr Peji coded it differently than the other dr. and the ins. co did not cover it. When I tried to deal with this through the billing dept. the machine says they will call back in 72 hours. Never got in touch with anyone. Finally I wrote a letter to Atl. Gastroenterology. No answer. Requested to speak to the dr. - never did. Finally after calling Galen Advisors for the 6th time to try to payoff this bill and getting voice mail, I wrote an email. That was 5 days ago. No response. Another call today - more vm. They won't even reply to get the bill paid off! Don't deal with these people. The insurance billing hassle with Galen only gives you grey hair!!
