Deaf children and adults can have a perfectly happy and language-filled life. The Alexander Graham Bell principles all encourage the parents and children to "listen," which is quite literally the only thing a person with a hearing loss cannot do. Deaf and hard of hearing children should not be forced to waste valuable educational time learning how to "listen" and "speech-read." They benefit more by learning the same subjects as their hearing peers. It is vitally important to give children access to language at an early age to succeed in education. Parents and care-givers can set their children up for success by keeping an open mind and exploring other options. Learn sign language and involve yourself in Deaf culture. Introduce your child to Deaf adult role models and you will truly allow them to thrive.

It is sometimes rare to get the complete package for me, but I found quality in their advice, product, courtesy and friendly, promptness with their appointments. I wish I could see this kind of service more often with others. I , for one appreciate it enough to say so.

My daughter lost most of her hearing at the age of 12, due to a brain tumor. The Auditory Verbal Center has supported us, and continues to do so in many ways. Nichelei, in particular, has been one of the greatest gifts we've received since our daughter's diagnosis.

I have been a client of the Auditory-Verbal Center for years. I have always had a great experience every time I go into the office, and that is what keeps me coming back. The audiologist and all the staff at AVC are great- they are very friendly, always professional and I never have to wait very long before I am seen. The audiologist spends quality time with me every time I come in for an appointment. She takes the time to explain the results of my testing in a way that is easy to understand and what my options are. I also bought my hearing aids from AVC and the whole process was great. They have a great warranty, with a loss and damage policy and you receive free batteries for 3 years with your hearing aid purchase. I would recommend AVC to all my friends!

I highly recommend this center. Both my children where born deaf and with the help of AVC they taught me how to teach my children to be independent communicators without the use of sign language or lip reading. My kids are in public school enjoying all the things normal hearing children do. The therapist are amazing and take the time to work with me and my children. Why would you go any where else.
