Peruvian food is a long journey (for some of us who loves to eat) discovering new elements of cooking in every ingredient is fascinating..... and tasty!! We have been in several peruvian restaurants and by far AY AY PICANTE peruvian restaurant is the best representation of their cuisine in chicago, dishes like lomo saltado, papa huancaina, Ceviche mixto.... and a new dish the T-BONE on the grill topped with mushrooms and veggies...... big enough for 2 people.... wow!!! ...... you have to see it!! the only thing we regret was the waiter.... emanuelle??? that boy needs help! he had no idea of the dishes he brought to our tables (apperantly it belong to a different table) he was rude, and aggressive, instead of offering us coffee he said " hey coffee?" "no?" ok, here is you check"!!! , didn't give us time to respond... the right manner shouldve been, "would you like some coffee?" " thank you for coming, here is your check", i don;t know, maybe he was new, many reviews talk about the great service this place offers, ambiance is great, nice looking murals, etc, i don't want to ruin it for everyone.... avoid the waiter with this name. Ay Ay Picante is byob, no extra charge, bring your wine or beer, nice patio on the back.
