I contacted Jenny Baker regarding a new home purchase. I was already approved through another lender and under contract, but looking at reducing closing costs. Their costs were lower, and she was supposed to send me a good faith estimate. Our closing date was set for a bit over a month out and she said there was plenty of time, but of course a decision needed to be made quickly as to which lender we'd go with. I waited most of the day with no word back from her. I contacted her later that day to check in, to see if she'd be able to get us the good faith estimate that day or not; she never replied. This was a week ago now, and I never heard back from her at all. To put it in perspective, when I spoke to a loan officer at SunTrust, he gave me numbers over the phone and emailed me a good faith estimate of costs within 5 minutes of getting off the phone. Buying a house can be a very stressful experience. You definitely don't want a mortgage professional with no follow-through. I guess if she can't even provide a good faith estimate in a timely manner, or reply to messages at all, there's not much chance we'd get to the closing table on time.

Want to feel like you are important? Then visit BB&T in Douglasville. The employees here are so friendly, and it really does feel like a home-town bank. The location is a little inconvenient because I don't go to that area very much. But the personal service makes it worthwhile.
