I had this company prepare my taxes after getting a recommendation from a colleague. Chris was very friendly, but my return wasn't started until I emailed Chris a month after I met with him to check on the status. A week later the tax return was completed but with MANY errors- including the incorrect SSN, and home address (all the info that was incorrect on the return was correct on the documentation that I provided to him). The errors were not brought to my attention until after my tax return had been submitted so my refund was delayed almost 6 months- even though Chris had assured me that the errors in my return wouldn't delay it... the IRS told me a different story. My taxes were complex having lived in 2 states, owning rental property, and purchasing a primary residence, but the bill for preparing my taxes was staggering, especially considering all of the errors. This year I was sent the contract to have Bailey & Carr prepare my tax return as a previous client. The contract included the information that was submitted last year, so it could be updated. I couldn't believe all of the errors that I found and immediately decided to find another company that would also be willing to review my return from last year to make sure all of the errors have been caught. Accounting requires attention to detail- from my experience this company significantly lacked this critical skill.
