They had me terrified something was wrong with my dog and cost me a fortune in fees for tests. After pushing me to spend $600 more I decided to go get a second opinion first. They faxed Lexies files over and after examining her and going over their file the other vet said she was confused. All of Banfields test results showed normal readings. That isn;t all. They have given her the wrong booster shot and said it's ok...it won't hurt her, and they have called me in for boosters she didn't need. I take off work for n appointment that wasn't necessary. I wouldn't advise anyone to go here. The wellness plan sounds good, but is actually a ripoff. Please beware!

My cat was attacked by another cat and he got an abscess on his face. We took him to Banfield for the simple reason they were affordable and easy to get into last minute. The inital fee for fixing my cat was astronomical (as usual) and once we weeded through the uneccessary items, the vet helped me bring down the cost to an affordable amount. The operated on my cat and I brought him home 2 hours later. One month later, the abscess is back. This time there was no fight. I began to treat it myself and when the abscess started to drain I noticed a white hard bump inside. I pulled out a 3/4" cat claw that apparently went unnoticed by the vet the first time around. I understand accidents happen. But how can you miss that? All they needed to to was clean one hole. On top of the recurring infection, my cat is now suffering terribly from some sort of bladder infection that causes him to have blood in his urine. Today I called Banfield to explain my concerns. I was trying to control my emotions because the worry that we couldn't afford more treatments and may have to euthanise him was in the back of my mind, and here is what the employee said to me: "maybe if you kept him inside he wouldn't get in fights with other animals." Of all the condescending remarks a person... a VET no less, could say to another person. I will never be returning to Banfield and I wish I could get part of my money back.

I had exams done from two different Vets who caused me tremendous amounts of undue stress and worry. I would have died if something were to have happened to either of my pets. The extra gallon of gas I may need to pay to save hundreds of dollars and my pet's life.
