I have four pets, two dogs and two cats and we have been using Banfield ever since our other vet moved further away from our house. This is a sad, scary place to take your pets. The front desk people are very slow and inconsiderate of your pet. I had a very sick, older cat who was meowing plaintively in her carrier while they took an inordinate amount of time checking me in, checking in the scary Pit Bull next to us and checking out another before letting us go into the room. I had an appointment and I was ontime, but they made me wait while rooms sat empty. The appointment took over 2 hours from start to finish because they were "behind" and the "scary Pit Bull" was being difficult and needed multiple handlers. It was traumatizing for both my cat and me... Do yourselves a favor and go somewhere else! You're not saving any money by going there - they charge just as much as a good vet does!

The people are very nice. The turnover for Vets is very high at all Banfield's that I've been to. I've had some great Vets and some not so great vets. They missed a diagnosis until I suggested they do a test for it and sure enough that was the problem. We didn't treat her properly for a couple of years. However, she is like a new dog now at 10 years old and seems very happy. I just don't care for the barrage of tests they do on her whenever they try to diagnose problems. I diagnose problems by picking the likely problem, testing it, and move to the next most likely problem if that was not the problem. The tests are very expensive even with discounts. BEST THING, you can take your pet to any Banfield in any State.

I took my cat in who was limping. They said to just drop her off and they would look at her that day. Well, it got to be about 5pm and I hadn't heard anything so I called. The nurse checked with the doctor and then told me "the doctor says your cat is fine and she will call me in 30 minutes." Well, after an hour and half the doctor calls. She tells me that "It's been a crazy day. She hasn't been able to observe the cat limping. Which leg is she limping on?" So effectively nothing had been done in the past 8 hours. The doctor then puts the nurse on the phone to give me the quote just to take x-rays. The quote was almost $600. What a joke. Like I'm going to pay $600 to somebody who can't even tell me which leg it is that is injured. When I brought my cat back home and let her out I realized that the plastic band they put around her neck was wrapped around her leg to wear she couldn't walk. Don't go here! The vet we worked with was a complete idiot.

I use this vet because of the monthly payment plan that they have. It saves me money in the long run, and gives me a little security knowing that I can take my dog for a visit with no fees. It's very hit or miss, which vet you get. Some are good, some are not. It is always Slow.

I took my cat in for a bladder infection. The vet tells me $1000 to fix him. I argued that all the procedures she wanted to do were not necessary, but it was all or nothing for her. I took my cat elsewhere for a second opinion. The vet was rude and made us feel we were bad people b/c we weren't going to drop $1000 b/c she said so. I still do not know what a Feline's aids test has to do with a UTI treatment, but it was one the "absolute necessary" tests that had to be done.
