I really don't have anything positive to say about this place. I've been going there for 5 years for both of my dogs and have finally had enough. First off, their wait time is horrible even when you make an appointment. Expect to be there for hours. My german shephard mix passed away a couple years ago and he was only 3 years old from an abdominal tumor. He always had complications from when he was just 3 months old and I kept bringing it up to the vets and they told me it was the food. He always was vomiting, had diarrhea, blood in his stool, and panting really hard. The vet told me that he pants hard because he is a "couch potato." So I kept changing his food and nothing ever worked. I finally had enough and when he was 3 years old I demanded that they do something and they found the tumor and it was the size of baseball. He passed away a couple months later. I really wish I would have found another vet earlier.

I brought my dog a year ago first time for required immunization. They offerred me a health insurance but I refused. I brought him home with a chip in his neck. Just this August I received a violation notice from animal department about a license tag and that I have to pay a penalty of $65.00. I do not know what a license tag so I went to Banfield clinic and asked about this license tag. The girl from the information told me I deferred it and so I denied it cause it was not true. I called the supervisor and he told me that I deferred it. I said I cannot recall that I refused it except for the health insurance they offered me. I asked him if he has a proof or document stating that I deferred it. He told me it's in the computer. I told him it's easy for anyone to put a negative response to a computer. He still insisted that I denied it even though I insisted that nobody has spoke to me about a license tag. Have I known it and the consequences of not having it, I could have purchase it right away but I was not given any information. This place in SW 88th street in miami has incompetent personnel. Just be aware of this especially for a first time pet owner. Banfield clinic just want your money and for you to buy their health insurance for your pet.
