I have two adorable small dogs, Holly and Max, both adopted. I was at my wits end due to barking and aggressive behavior. I asked the vet for recommendation, they recommended Bark Busters. Tom Zebrowitz came out and after 3 hours, they had a complete change in behavior. I highly recommend Tom. He was professional and taught me how to handle my dogs. It was not dog training, it was people training. I am so much happier with my little dogs and they are happier too. It was so much easier than I ever thought. It was well worth the fee.

Tom came to our house to help us with our 3 year old Pitbull and our new 9 month old Boxer mix who we adopted from the Humane Society. We would describe our dogs to our friends as our pretty well behaved teenager and our juvenile delinquent to explain away the puppy's negative behavior that we could not get figure out how to guide. In 4 hours, Tom taught us how to communicate with our dogs in a way they understood, spent time with us and the dogs training us all, and there was an immediate change in both our dog's behavior for the better that has continued to improve daily. We had a list of behaviors we wanted Tom to "fix" and he addressed each one, and there was instant improvement in each area by the time Tom left our house. Tom also gave us many tips as we talked about feeding, play toys, play activities, etc. We found this to be valuable information that Tom freely shared. My husband and I highly recommend the Bark Busters approach and Tom Zebrowitz. He has so much knowledge and is a great trainer! We are so glad we took the time and made this investment, and I'm pretty sure if our dogs could speak "human", they would agree.

It has been an amazing experience learning new techniques that have helped to change our dog's overprotective behaviors, so that she better understands her role in our pack. We have also learned how to become better pack leaders in the process. The results are immediate and with continued practice, will ensure a forever happy pack! Thank you Bark Busters for providing these highly effective methods, and thank you, Mr. Zebrowitz, for sharing your knowledge, for your guidance, and your patience in training us...you are a dog whisperer!

Max came to our rescue when we were having issues with our 2-year-old goldendoodle's leash aggression. It had gotten to the point where we would go out of our way to walk her where we knew we wouldn't run into other dogs (which is very difficult in our neighborhood!). Max assessed the issue and was able to give us tips that had her walking like a pro by the end of the visit. Dog training visits aren't a magical cure - you have to be disciplined and maintain the techniques with your dog for the long run, which has been tough, but well worth the effort. We would definitely recommend the Barkbusters team to others.

We already had a 5 yr old Bischon when we adopted a 5 yr old greyhound that was having some issues with over-excitement and some aggression. With a baby on the way I was nervous about being able to safely control him around our baby girl. Most of the issues were part of our in house schedule so I was excited when a friend told me about Bob & Judy. They worked with us in our house to set up routines and taught us how to use corrections that mimic dog pack behavior. It took some getting used to, but we saw huge improvements with both pups. Our greyhound is so much calmer and so wonderful to be around, I can't believe the changes! It does take work and consistency, but it is well worth it! I highly recommend them and the Bark Busters program.

Before Bob and Judy Padgett came to help us, our boxer mix Puck was a mess! She had social issues, barking issues, aggression issues, etc. But within the first meeting, Bob and Judy taught us so much about what we needed to do, we could tell an immediate improvement! We can even walk her, which was not even a remote possibility before. My husband was very skeptical, but he was a believer soon. For the money, I don't think you'd be able to find anything better! I'm so thankful for these two!

Tom Zebrowitz has been working with me and my one year old King Charles Cavelier, Pippa, to devert her destructive ways. A real turning point came when he brought a huge bag of toys for her to chew on and play with. Now she entertains herself without chewing on the wrong thing. Tom has helped with many behavioral issues which have resolved under his guidance. He uderstands a dog's mind. Thanks Tom.

While our corgi was by no means a bad dog before Max came, there were a few issues we needed a trainer to assist with! Max Alligood was very friendly, professional, and instruction oriented. He shared with us a great deal of knowledge and perspective that helped teach us how to be good dog owners, and we practiced exercises with our dog to bring about better behavior. By the end of the lesson our corgi was staying at our side on walks with no distraction, and could sit on command. Max welcomed questions and was very thorough. We are loving the results! Highly recommend his dog training program.

Cheryl came to our house and immediately had our dogs full attention! I was stunned when she told me that I was going to get our dog to sit, stay then come to us in the first ten minutes...and he did! It is still a work in progress as we have had some major life changes and have had a hard time getting all our training in. For the effort we have put in, our dogs behavior has significantly improved. Please note, this is more person training than it is dog training. You will have to work regularly with your dog to make improvements. I value this service as the trainer, Cheryl, was very concerned with making us feel at ease, gaining respect of our dog, and being flexible with scheduling. It has been worth every penny.

I can't say enough about Tom Zebrowitz and Bark Busters. It has been an absolute pleasure to work with Tom, and the results have been amazing. We saw a difference in our rescue Chihuahua after the first visit. With Tom's guidance, we continue to see improvement after each session. Tom has turned a frightened, one-person dog in to the loving family dog I always knew she could be. We couldn't have done it without him!

Max Alligood from Bark Busters is indeed a terrific trainer - both of dogs and of people. We had three pretty unruly dogs a little over a year ago, and he had them on very good behavior in remarkably short order. One used to pull terribly on the leash and go berserk when we passed other dogs in the neighborhood, and with Max's instruction, I was able to walk past another unruly dog, and mine never paid any attention. The neighbor even called out, "What a well-behaved dog you have!" He is also very creative with training techniques, adjusting for special situations like children in the house, making use of natural barriers, and the different temperaments of a multiple-dog pack. I have had dogs all of my life, but my husband never did until we met, and Max related very well with both of us. Max is very patient and generous with his time and with his instruction, and I highly recommend him to you. He has multli-level pricing and will work with you on a program that addresses your specific needs.

When we adopted our lab mix from the animal shelter, it was love at first hug, but we didn't know anything about her. When problems started to emerge including aggression with other dogs and barking at baby strollers we knew we needed help. Enter Max Alligood "dog trainer extraordinaire". Max was able to give us the tools we needed to get started on training our dog and he put us on the path to having a dog we could love even more. Since his initial visit Max has returned to reinforce what we learned and give us new insights. We appreciate the support he has provided with phone calls and e-mails. Thank you Max!

We had tried many different things with our large dog's aggression issues but were still very stuck until we met Max Alleygood. Having strangers/contractors come round to the house was always stressful as we never knew if our dog would lash out at them, and this created a vicious cycle. Max very quickly was able to hone in on where we were going wrong. His techniques for improving things were so simple that I was unconvinced they would work. What amazed me was not only that they did, but how quickly. I have nothing but positive praise for Max and the Barkbuster methodology and would recommend him whole heartedly.
