Quality BMW Service at a VERY reasonable cost!

BMW 325i fixes = Front & rear brakes; rotors pads, and sensor Overall experience = 5* Cost/price = 5* (the KM BMW Dealer & EuroSpot were more expensive) Service = 5* (Dave and his teams have years of experience repairing BMWs!) Quality = 5* (from a driving perspective, the car drives well and the brakes feel more responsive) Extra perk = this small shop provides rides (not rentals).. something I thought was very nice. Final thought = IMO, this firm provided good quality service at a reasonable cost that didn't hit the pocketbook. Hope your experience is the same.

I have found a new home to get my mini serviced correctly the first time. I hated dealing with the only show in town and now I don't have to. Integrity means everything. Thanks. Theresa

Baron's gives you the undivided attention you need when getting your car serviced. They are personal, honest, and keep you promptly informed of the status of your vehicle. Don't expect significant savings compared to your dealership's service department but expect a significant improvement in your service experience.

Owning and maintaining a BMW or Mercedes is expensive. Not only are the parts expensive but we attend regular educational events to keep abreast of the latest developments. Since getting your automobile repaired cannot be economical, at least we can provide personalized service. Baron's is a small shop, you know when you call, who will pick up the phone and you know who will be working on your car.

David Barons has been servicing my '85 380SL for several years now. He is far superior to SD Mercedes in both quality and value. SD MB quoted me over $2000 to fix a warm-start control. David did it for just over $200!! He is a personable, honest, caring individual... as is the rest of his staff. When I leave my car with Baron's, I am comfortable with the knowledge that it could not be in better hands. This is the type of shop you dream of discovering. I would sell my car before I would have it serviced by anyone else! Thank you, David.

Baron's is overpriced and it takes forever to get anything done. He told me I needed a new water pump when my 99 325i was overheating. Wanted $1300 to do the job so I bought the pump and had a local shop put it in for $225.00 but it still overheated...yea that's right $19.95 for a themostat and $75.00 to put it in. I do not recommend this business.

I believe that this posting was made in error. I looked through my records for estimates involving 99 BMW 325s made so far this year. I found two such estimates, but neither involved a water pump or anything having to do with the cooling system. We make appointments with our customers to ensure that their cars are repaired and returned on the day they are brought in. If during the course of making the repair, we determine that additional work is recommended and will not be completed by the end of the day, we first secure the owner's permission to keep the car overnight. My pricing is competitive with other independent BMW repair facilities. Our charge for replacing a water pump is no where near $1300. We are an award winning AAA facility. Our AAA customer satisfaction index for last year was 97.62%

So I have been going to the Mercedes dealer for service for years, thinking that was the only way to go. My last service I have having problems with the air suspension system in the back and they told me it would be $1,800 just for the parts and who know how much for labor. Well I decided to look around and found Baron's, these guys are great and extremely honest, which is hard to find these days. They check out my problem and said that the suspension needed adjustment, since I had put new tires and wheels on the S500. Total cost was $253.72 compared to $1,800 plus. These guys are certified in both Mercedes and BMW's and are experts. Guess where I am getting my Mercedes serviced in the future....right Baron's. Thanks guys for saving me big dollars and giving me great and honest service. MWall

They take the sting out of having to get a repair
    bbgris (1 review)
    1/13/2009

I really hate having a Mercedes because nothing's ever cheap. That said, Dave Baron and his team do what they can to add some value beyond the immediate repair. Case in point: I had to get a "B" service on my car, and during the inspection, Dave's team told me that my front brake warning light would be coming on in about 5,000 to 6,000 miles (they were off by 1,000), but that I was safe to wait until the warning light came on. When the light did come on, they put in my brakes (pads, rotors and fluid, $718, in one day, and they provided me with a ride to work), they also checked on a steering concern I had (no charge) and changed a marker light bulb (no charge). Dave's a no-nonsense guy, but he treats you like family, and made me feel great about bringing my car there. I know I'll get the straight story and a fair price.

Trusted mechanic is an oxymoron since they are so few and far between. But David and his team really care about my car. I was waiting for the car after an oil change, and I was stunned by the amount of time they were spending detailing the car, something I never asked for ! I have never seen that at any mechanic shop.

Called that morning and David and staff were very accommodating. I found them through the North American Motoring forums and heard some great reviews so I decided to give them a try. I should have found them sooner. Unfortunately I'm moving to Stockton at the end of the month, but David gave me a shop recommendation near the area. Very pleasant service and next time I'm in San Diego, you're the go to guys for my 2005 Mini Cooper S!

When is the last time you FULLY trusted a mechanic
    sdmike1 (1 review)
    11/13/2008

I can't say enough great things about David Baron and his shop. I do a lot of the work on my 99 740IL myself, but when I need an expert I turn to David. Not only do they do excellent work, but David is extremely pragmatic and fair about his diagnosis. If you can live with an issue for a while, he'll tell you. If something can be fixed safely using non-traditional, less expensive methods, he'll suggest that too. That's why I trust David to always do the right thing for me and my car. I always know I'm getting the right diagnosis and right recommendations, which is something you can't often say about your mechanic.
