My wife and I went through the Community Energy Challenge and when a heat pump was suggested as our best option for energy efficiency, we got bids from 3 companies as suggested by the CEC folks. We were so impressed with Wes Diskin and the education and information provided by him - along with the best bid - that we decided to go with Barron. We were not really excited about a heat pump, and having that ugly white box on our modern walls, when Wes Diskin told us about a new model coming out, the first model available in black. We waited for that model and it was installed in early January. We have been so very happy with everything about it. Our friends and neighbors all comment now that they can not believe how comfortable our home is, compared to how cold and drafty before the install. And our propane bill went from 500 to 150 a month already. We have had great follow up from Barron, and would happily recommend them to anyone.

I love your house and I love you guys. Thank you for your business and forgiving me when I show up on your beach unannounced this summer! Ha!(*inside joke, I do not come to customers houses without permission. lol.) -Wes
My wife and I purchased our house 2 years ago. One of the biggest concerns was the heating system, which is simply electric wall heaters throughout the house. The house is a "daylight" basement type of home with 1400 SF up, and another 1400 SF down. So we were looking for something simple and efficient to provide us with comfortable living in the upstairs 1400 SF. Then we lived in the house for 2 years. Incredibly high electric bills throughout the winter. And July and August were extremely hot and uncomfortable because of the direct western exposure our house has. I contacted 3 heating/air conditioning companies to provide me with bids for the heat pump. Wes, with Barron, was one of the three. Fortunately, he was the first to arrive. The education I got was amazing. Being retired Boeing engineering, I bombarded him with questions and details on specifications. Most sales people consider Boeing engineering the worst to deal with. Same routine with the other two bidders. Only one to satisfy my questions was Wes. In fact, Wes stated that he was thoroughly impressed that I was the type of consumer that would ask about the details and specifications of various units. He actually enjoyed the experience. Bottom line: Installation complete - Couldn't be happier. Make sure you include Wes and Barron with any purchasing decisions regarding heating and air conditioning. You won't be disappointed!
Barron did the electrical and mechanical installation for my ductless heat pump. They installed the Daiken Ductless Split 19 SEER/9.0 HSPF heat pump with 24,000 but capacity, model RX24NMVJU outdoor unit (FTXS24NMVJU indoor unit). Came with 12 year labor and compressor warranty. Installation team arrived on time and did an extremely professional job. The electrical installer was very impressive with his knowledge and abilities.

I love it! This really is encouraging to me. Please call any time if you need anything. - Wes
Wes was GREAT! He was very thorough on the estimate and did a great job of explaining everything as he went along. The process was a much bigger job than we expected but the crew was hard-working, polite, quiet, and clean. When you spend this much $$, you expect to be completely satisfied, and we are. I would highly recommend Barron to anyone looking to upgrade. (We went from an old furnace and baseboards to a heat pump and a ductless - LOVE the AC!)

What a wonderful job yours was! I love that you guys invested... seriously invested in doing it right. Thank you for the review! - W
So I actually live thousands of miles away from the state of Washington. After researching online I came across Wes and his detailed videos on state of the art installations. He has been so incredibly kind and thorough in advising me on options for my whole house remodel. Through numerous consultations, we have arrived on the final plan. He has advised me on the questions to ask, the best practices for installation, and even some great advice on different brands. What a pleasure and help it has been, my personal HVAC expert thousands of miles away. Anyone nearby that has the opportunity to work with him, can rest assure, you are working with the best.

That was a ton of fun working with you! I would love an update once you are all moved in! - Wes
A little over 5 years ago, I contacted 5 or 6 local companies to give me a bid on installing a Heat Pump and ductwork in my home. Of all of the bids received, the Barron Team provided the best value. Some of the companies that provided bids are no longer around. Barron and Wes Diskin are still here and going strong. Wes committed to details that no other company would, including installing and finishing drywall to enclose new ductwork. The installation team was top notch and incredibly knowledgeable, with flawless attention to detail. Wes and his team delivered perfectly. Since the installation (again, 5 years ago), Wes continues to be there to answer any questions that have come up. I don't know of any other company that can do that. Scott White

Scott, Thank you for the update! And the kind words!
We purchased a Navien water heater and loved it, at first. Time went on and the tank had its troubles. It would leak, or fail to operate for numerous reasons. Each time Barron heating was timely responsive in repair. But we were fed up with so many service calls. Wes went to bat for us and convinced Navien to replace the water heater at their cost. Wes went above and beyond what was required to help us out. Wes is a true professional and a rare bird in the service industry.

Your story is one of the reasons I chose Navien for my own home, loved how they stood behind their product and satisfaction. -Wes
We just wanted to thank Wes and Barron for everything. No one talked to us about ANY of the stuff Wes did, he seems to know things that none of the other bidders knew existed....or they just wanted to sell us what we thought we wanted, which turned out to be a horrible idea. Wes spent real time with my husband and I to find out what we actually needed. Did we buy an expensive heating system? Yes (ductless heat pump - 5 zones). But we know exactly why and what each component does for us. Never met a more straight forward, honest, loves his job salesman. The guys who came out to our house to install were just at that same caliber, loved having them in the house, they worked so hard. In the end, we love our ductless system we purchased from Barrons. Thank you for caring for your customers needs and protecting them from bad choices they dont know they are making! Ha!

One of my favorites for sure. Thank you so much for such and encouraging review! - Wes
We contacted Wes given the high informative quality of the website and youtube channel. He was extremely helpful, replied very quickly (in fact within hours even if it was the evening. He helped us plan multiple aspects of the project way before knowing if we would hire him or not. Wes brought us very important information as well as new avenues that changed our project. He takes a very holistic (for lack of a better word) approach and will not only focus on the heat pump or AC but everything around it. He clearly does not insist for a specific model he needs to push at the moment but will find what is best for your specific needs. I would not hesitate to pick him to plan my system from A to Z (including insulation) and I will again if I need a new project.

I am honored, thank you! - Wes
My 10 year old Trane Heat Pump is dying, so I started doing some research as to which manufacture had the best system on the market right now. On the web you can find lots of information on dozens of brands, both US and foreign, but to know who is best is a little hard. I knew that variable speed compressors are the latest trend and most efficient. But what I didn't know was that the technology varies widely among all the manufactures. I found some great videos on YouTube for many manufactures and companies, but keep coming back to the videos by Wes of "Barron Heating Green Team". I was very impressed with his technical knowledge and really liked his installs. It seems over recent years he has installed many different brands and types of systems. He seems to be on the leading edge of the technology and knows firsthand what works. I emailed him with some questions and asked him if he serviced my area. Turns out I am a little too far away, but that did not stop Wes from answering my questions and offering advice. Now that is great customer service. He put me onto a great system, The Daikin Sky Air Ducted system (not ductless). It is a direct replacement of my current heat pump, except it is light years ahead of the competition. I would not even have known it existed were it not for Wes. He also put me on to the regional supplier who was very helpful and found a dealer in my area to use. Thanks again Wes, Lenny Pezzano

"Varies Widely" is sooo true! It was fun working with you Lenny! - Wes
We started getting alerted to something terribly wrong with our place when we began having health issues; congestion, headaches, dry mouth, rashes and feeling drugged. The miracle was our little boy dropped a penny down a vent and told us. When we took of the vent to retrieve it, to our horror we found those toxic air purifiers; you know the ones with chemicals; formaldehyde, benzene, petroleum distillates. As we looked throughout the house we found them in every vent; some vents even had two of them. There was evidence of spillage of some of them as well. We found Wes Diskins at Barron's in Bellingham. Wes was amazing in his abilities to walk into a room and start to diagnose the issue. He could literally sense and smell what was going on. We worked with Wes and the Barron's team over the weeks replacing air vents, heating systems; putting in air exchangers and filters as well as dehumidifying the basement and getting more air flow under the house. They cleaned out dead rodents, mold between improperly installed water vapor barriers and sealed up the house creating what is called a positive air pressure; more air pumped in than allowed to leave the house. The effect is like puffing out the house so that the crawl space air cannot return to the house. All of this started us down the road to getting back in our house. We were literally sleeping outside in our tent in 30 degree weather. We got our home back. thank you! ralph havens physical therapy

This house was so bad you couldnt be "in" it, just crazy. Thank you for telling your story guys. - Wes
Wes, I want to let you know that our December PSE bill has arrived AND our PSE bill is approximately $400 LESS than last year. I have not officially looked up our payment for December last year but I recall it was $600.00 plus or nearly $600.00. I just paid our December PSE bill of $230. Honestly, I was a bit nervous about what the PSE bill might be, but just trusted that we would be able to manage, we always have, even if it takes a few months to cover the costs yet, knowing what the system was rated to do, I was willing to live on faith. I tell you, with tears in my eyes, that the quality of our lives is qualitatively and quantitatively better than it was a year ago. Your thoughtful selection of a system for our home, based on our individual circumstance, and in consideration of how we wanted to live in our home... with our children and grandchildren....goes beyond the business model of providing good customer service. I think your dedication to your customer (me, in particular) demonstrates the behavior of a person who is focused first on being a good person... doing good for others. You did this for us... and it does not go unrecognized or unappreciated. Also, the people from Barron's were very professional and worked in a focused, fast paced fashion to get the work done. Every question was answered.... even when it meant I was interrupting one of these hard working crew members. The clean-up was immaculate.

Cant tell you how much this means to me, I just need to post some of these as my mission statement, thank you for your kind words. - Wes
Wes and his crew are very good. We spent more to go with Wes' proposal and would do it again. We did not feel even half the confidence with other contractors. All promises kept. Great follow thru. My wife is happy.

My wife, two young girls, and I are thrilled about our home again after having a total comfort solution installed by Barron Heating recently. Wes, from Barron Heating, performed a comprehensive consultation to fully understand our home and our specific needs and goals. He designed a solution including the following: High Efficiency 98% Modulating Furnace, AC unit, Fresh Air Exchange, Wireless thermostats (each floor), Duct Cleaning and Aerosealing. We are completely satisfied with the work that was done along the way and most importantly, the end result. A few days now of upper 70's and low 80's and I have a constant grin with how cool and comfortable our home is. The combination of the fresh air exchange and the AC does wonders. We can work, hang out, or play in the backyard now and come in the house to cool off. Because our bedrooms are on the upper floor, cool and quiet kid's bedrooms are great for a happy and smooth bedtime. A major benefit is how quiet our home is. Not only are the products Wes recommended quiet, but now we get to keep our windows closed and block out summer neighborhood noise!I have only tested the heat on a limited basis so far due to it being June, but we are excited to try it this fall and winter. I highly recommend a modulating furnace verses a one or two stage. The efficiency constant comfort is well worth the extra investment. Lastly, I just wanted to thank Barron Heating and especially Wes for a job well done. His knowledge and pa

I'm sorry the site cut you off there, but I am mainly excited that your house was fixed! Please let me know what I can do for you in the future. - Wes
My wife and I just replaced our 30 year-old furnace and moved it into the basement. We contacted Barron and Wes worked with us from start to finish. His knowledge of theory and the industry puts him on a whole other level. He designed a system for heating and ventilation that far exceeded both of our expectations. It's like we are living in a different home. We are grateful for the professionalism and expertise of everyone involved in the installation - such a great company!
