Beethoven movers, Andrew and Jonathan, came today and did a wonderful job moving my wife's Petrof 5 baby grand piano from our apartment in Queens to our new home in State College, Pennsylvania. The movers were fast, efficient and friendly. I wouldn't hesitate a minute to recommend Beethoven, and to suggest that they ask for Andrew and Jonathan!

These guys are terrific. They had to move my grand piano down seven flights of stairs, across town, and up three more with no elevators. They handled it like a baby. And I learned several things about my piano I did not know. Thanks guys.

Please stay away from this company. They had made a firm appointment to move my piano on a given date to my new apartment. I called that morning to see what time they were coming and the owner (Carl) casually told me they couldn't do it that day. He was incredibally unapologetic and apparently had not been intending to call to tell me they weren't coming! He also told me they hadn't even wanted to do the move for the price they had quoted me. I asked him why they'd agreed to that price then, since they'd seen the locations and the piano and he hung up on me. (I found out later that the guy who had made the appointment for the actual move date was an alcoholic and hadn't shown up that day.) A week later they moved the piano (it was too short notice to get another piano mover), but they only brought three guys when they had promised me four. (They had SEEN the apartment and knew there were a lot of steps and a big piano.) It was horribly stressful watching them carry it up the stairs. They actually let the piano slip to the floor about 5 inches (it hit the floor HARD) at one point. I am a musician and have advised several friends NEVER to go near this company.
