Benjamin franklin was referred to us by our heating and air conditioning contractor and we are very happy with the the bid we received and the service they did. Having just gone through the process of getting bids from 5 different heating companies we know how different contractor bids can be and you really have to look at more than just the bid price. We completely trust our new heating contractor so when they said benjamin franklin was who they refer to their own family and friends thats all we needed to know. They were very professional and took great care to keep their work area neat and clean.

Watch out for their pricing! -- Be sure you understand exactly what you are signing up for. They charged $2300 for a job that took ll man hours (including 4 by a junior assistant). Parts were maybe $100, so the labor charge was $200 per hour??!! I know this includes some overhead and profit, but in my opinion this is a ridiculous and unfair charge. Unfortunately, I was not there to negotiate, and the estimate was approved by an inexperienced family member. The family member does not believe the final bill reflects what he was told verbally. He learned a lesson, and I have to pay for it. Beware!! PS: I find it very suspicious that of the 23 reviews for Ben Franklin on Kudzu all are 5 stars except for one. The reviews are extremely positive and glowing -- and not the wording I would expect from average homeowners. Could Ben Franklin be planting positive reviews?

My parents were having cabinets put in their kitchen and the guy hit a pipe in the wall with a screw. WATER EVERYWHERE! In under an hour Paul was there and cured the problem, for a great price too.

My kitchen sink started squirting water out of the base of the facet so I called a few plumbers to come out on a Saturday for me. He was right on time, extremely knowledgeable and really just wanted to help, not sell. Which is so appreciated when you're a single woman. I highly recommend these guys to anyone!

Based on the reviewes here, I called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. Good quality. The price seemed high and I posted that thought here. The owner called me several times during the week and worked with me to ensure my satisfaction.

I came home to find my water heater had decided to let go and flood my garage. It was late in the day but they came when they said and I had a new water heater in 2 hours. The installers were so nice and courteous plus professional. I would recommend them to anyone.

Ben Franklin plumbing has treated me very well with all of my plumbing needs. They are all trustworthy plumbers, and I haven't had a bad experience yet, and I'm not expecting one either.
Ben Franklin treated me fair, and I never felt like I was being sold anything that I didn't want or need. The technician himself was a stand up guy, and I felt the work completed was well worth the time and money!
We called out BF to do some odd jobs: fix a couple of toilets, and remove an RO system and install a filter instead, to our instant hot water dispenser in the kitchen -- and also put in a new hot water faucet. We were very pleased! The tech came out on time, and did a very nice and neat job. I was impressed how "tidy" everything looked out under the kitchen sink. We will use BF again!

I am a single woman who has to trust repair services completely as I know nothing about house maintenance. The plumber that came was on time, honest and the price reasonable. The work he did was great. I will use this company again.

We recently had to have our water heater replaced and we called B.F. Plumbing after reading all the glowing reviews. We did get a response the same day and the plumber was a nice enough young man. However, we were hit with the "upsell" immediately and incessantly. Can't afford a tankless? No problem he says - "finance it." We mentioned Sears. "You don't know if you're dealing with a felon or a crackhead with them". We sent him on his way with our $59 for the service call. Whatever happened to listening to the customer? We found good service elsewhere. Makes me question the validity of all these reviews.
