We have been to many fine steakhouses around the country and Bern's is still one of our very favorites. We love the fact that the price includes all the sides- salad, french onion soup (the best!), potato, etc. The staff is highly trained and it shows in the level of service. The dessert room is always a special treat too. Bern's is family owned and operated, everything served is either grown fresh and organic or shipped in from the location offering the finest selection for that particular item. And if you are taking friends or family for the first time, make sure to take the tour of the wine cellar- they have the largest private wine collection in the world. The only con for some (particularly those who have trouble appreciating history in an establishment) is that the restaurant itself, especially the back dining rooms, are not brand new and shiny fancy. Yet, the pride taken in everything done within Bern's far makes up for it.

The top wine list in the world, dry aged beef on site, incredible wine By The Glass List, Caviar cart, HUGE salt water fish tank for the freshest fish anywhere, unique decor purchased by Bern Laxer from around the world, A Dessert room to visit and enjoy after the meal upstairs, the best dessert wine list anywhere....all this makes Bern's Steakhouse a true original that is a must visit location. Many people think it is expensive but unlike the new steakhouse chains all prices include, salad, vegetable and main course. You will NOT be sorry. Reservations are a must. Oh Yeah...Be sure to let your server know you want a kitchen and working wine cellar tour prior to going to the dessert room. You will be impressed and apprecative of the effort the Laxer family and their many employees put into this restaurant.

Bern's is unique--the art deco decor and the amazing amount of food are worth the visit. Add in a tour of the kitchen and the wine cellar, and you have a unique experience. Definitely save room for dessert, and don't miss going upstairs for that.

Bern's has unsurpassed quality food in a quiet atmosphere. The food is amazing and the wine list is exceptional. It's not a meal at Bern's unless you visit the dessert room upstairs, where the list of desserts to choose from is like reading a novella. The tables are cozy and the piano man takes requests from your table. Don't miss a tour of the kitchen and the wine cellar!!!
