My dog and I like Dr. Pfouts and his staff very much. He is friendly and kind. Prices are very reasonable. He has opened early when he has seen me waiting in my car.

Ladies in the office are very friendly and informative. Dr Pfouts is the best vet in the area and prices are lowest in town. Reminds me of a down home country store that you love to return to and patronage. The best thing about them is you don't need an appointment for non surgery visits. I won't take my pets any where else.

4 years ago my dog (17 dog years) was having health problems. I took her to Petsmart and was charged a fortune and she was still undiagnosed, they just wanted to run more tests. I then looked for a vet with 20 years or more of experience and that's how I found Berry Hill Veterinary. Dr. Pfouts diagnosed her in minutes by using his hands, her age, and his knowledge. I was shocked at the cost because it was so low. He helped her to live comfortably for the rest of her life. I've taken three other pets to him over the past 4 years and I've never been shown anything but respect by him and his staff. In addition, I've never smelled alcohol on Dr. Pfouts and one of his staff is usually with him when my pets are being examined.

I too was shocked about the negative review. To Dogfancy, I know there is something you arent saying, that is not how Dr. Pfouts acts. You did something to provoke it, I guarantee that. I have been going to this vet since he came to my elementary school for career day. They are very informative, and explain things very clearly. They even show you on the slides for the microscope if they find something. They remember my pets names, and have never been rough with my pets like that other person said. They are less expensive than other vets in the area.

I am shocked by the negative reviews i've read. I have been bringing my darlings (2 labradors) to Berry Hill for almost 3 years and have NEVER had a problem. They are super friendly, and always remember me and my darlings by name. They have the best prices in the ATL area. And, the vet is very knowledgeable. I would not take my dogs anywhere else!

I walked through the door here and the 2 women in the front office were WONDERFUL!! I hate it that they have to work for such a loud rude man. I was fostering a dog and took her to this vet to See what was needed in order to get a ground transport health certificate and to have her treated for kennel cough. When the vet entered the room he seemed OK. Then my foster dog started coughing and he totally LOST it . He started yelling at me about not being able to issue a health certificate on a dog with it coughing. ( I can understand that) Well , he never could get past the whole health certificate and coughing issue and made me cry before I could even get a clear answer as to what to do about her coughing. I called the lady ( in another state) that I was fostering for and he continued to yell at me and her both from across the room about her coughing . He was so RUDE!! He slammed papers on the counter , treated me like a total moron, and b-4 all was said and done he told the women in the office to " just get me out of there" and "for me to never call him again." You have nothing to worry about there Mister!!

I've taken my dogs to Berry Hill for the last three years or so. Let me say first that the girls in the office are extremely friendly but I quickly noticed the Vet isn't. It wasn't a huge deal for me because I didn't see him as rude, just not friendly. The prices are very reasonable so I decided, well, he isn't the friendliest, but not rude. Rude doesn't even begin to describe what happened on Saturday, December 13th 2008. We had to wait a while because they were busy, so by the time we got in it was close to closing time. The Vet was in a bad mood before he even came in the room. He was mad that my dogs needed a heartworm test (because the blood has to be drawn and it takes a few minutes to get the results). He asked when the last time my one dog had a heartworm test, I told him his first vet visit. The Vet grunted and said " Oh s**T". When he came in, my dog could feel that the Vet was irritated and when he attempted to prepare my dog for the drawing of blood my dog got upset. Instead of a proper muzzle, The Vet wrapped a heavy string around my dog's snout very tightly and then then around his neck. It was in a violent manner. I was afraid to say anything at that moment because The Vet was almost enraged. My dog is less than 20 pounds! He has never acted this way. My dog could feel something wasn't right. I won't go any further but to say I will NEVER take my pets there again.

This year, I don't think Killian is in need of a physical exam, as she is over 56+ years cat-age. She doesn't need to be vaccinated for rabies, since she is an inside cat. I have treated my two cats, Killian and Spadz for worms, and they are relatively flea-free. Thanks for the post card to remind my mother, Kathy Brooks about Killian. WE don't forget about our pets at this household.
