I believe the "HORRIFIC AND SADISTICALLY THE WORST PLACE" review is unwarranted. If this is the person I think it is, she was there at the same time I was picking up my dog. This individual was so out of hand that the police had to be called to restrain her outside. I will also say that her dog looked perfectly fine to me. While I don't have all the details regarding this incident, I have been boarding my dog for the past 2+ years at Best Friends. She is there from 7:00am thru about 5:30pm, during my work day, Monday - Friday. If I did not know that my dog was being WELL taken care of, I would have pulled her out long ago. I often watch my dog on their live camera system when she is in play group. My dog loves going to Best Friends in the morning and can't wait to get in the door to see her people and dog friends. My dog is a bit timid, if there was any mistreatment we would know by her actions alone. When leaving each day, she will literally run to the staff and virtually hug them. I have become acquainted with several other owners that use best friends daily, and they are very pleased as well. I would not accept the aforementioned review on face value - especially when there is so much evident to the contrary.

My dog was treated with the worst care and they told me my dog was dead as I was advised not to come and get her as I came back from GUAM on an emergency. They people lied about everything and they stole money off my credit card for unauthorized services. Horrible don't use them and the CEO Dennis M. Dolan doesn't care about how the customers are treated only for the money!!

Who takes a 15 year old dog to a groomer? Anyone who has a dog understands that groomming requies long periods of standing for the dog - and that is just too cruel to do to a dog that age. The only mistake made here was that they were too nice to you and accepted your dog. Knowing that you don't care about you dog's welfare, I can only imagine what the poor thing looked like when you brought it in.

I took my Sheltie to be shaved for the summer. I was quoted a price of $42-49 over the phone for a basic shave (no frills). When I picked him up, the (very nice) receptionist apologetically said it would be $80 (which I refused to pay). They comped the additional charges, since they didn't call me to warn me that there would be a 60% increase in the cost! I appreciated that. But much worse than the overcharge was the way my poor dog looked. It was without a doubt the WORST grooming job I have ever witnessed, and my dog is 15 years old--uneven shaving over his entire body, lopsided trim on the face, and complete butchering all around his head, legs, and tail. He looked like a cancer patient. I used this company last year with the same dog. I paid $49, and was thrilled with the job they did. (That groomer must have left the company and been replaced by Edward Scissorhands.) Needless to say, I will never go back again. Except that I HAVE to go back to pick up my dog's collar, which they forgot to return.

We have been boarding with them for several years. Tried other places but keep coming back. They seem a little pricier than other boarding locations, but worth it.

I was willing to pay the high cost assuming my dogs would get similar treatment. NOT! The kennels were not as nice as my vets and I had to pay extra (over the increased price) just to get someone to play with them! The worst part, when I brought them home (after paying about $70 for their baths) they had FLEAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
