The blind repair man quoted me a price when I called to schedule an appointment, he then increased the price when I dropped my blinds off for repair, and then increased the price yet again when I picked up my blinds. The quality of his work is subpar as well.

I cannot recommend the "Blind Repairman" Jerry Alvarez. We hired him to replace a couple of pull cords and fix some damage to the bottom of our blinds caused by our dogs. He fixed the pull chords OK (still not like new) but he after he taped up the bottom of our blinds they fell out the same day. I called and after two reschedules his assistant showed up. Jerry told me they would try velcro but the assistant showed up with the same tape. He taped the blinds up (something I could have done myself) and they fell out again the same night. I called Jerry to ask for my money back (for that work only, not for the other work he did). It was $107. I called him at least 15 times and filled out his webform twice, and he never called me back. He is 1) unreliable (several reschedules); 2) does poor work; and 3) would not even talk to me about my situation. I do NOT recommend using him!

Just finished a 6 wek agonizing experience with these people. I will describe what we went through, you draw your own conclusions. Took a Hunter Douglas blind to them to repair one of the supporting strings along with a couple of small parts that had fallen off. Got the blind back maybe 10 days later but they lost the parts which we had been careful to tape to the blind. Put the blind back on the window, it looked ok but lo and behold the mechanism to raise and lower the blind no longer worked.(worked fine when we brought it in) Brought it back and now they have to order a part. Week 4 now and the part arrives. Week 5 they admit that they cannot fix it and it has to go back to the factory (they claim to be an authorized service center for Humter Douglas.) Less than a week after they sent it back the repaired blind is back from the factory in perfect condition. Why did it take them 5+ weeks to do what the factory did in less than 5 days. Finally, throughout all this it was abundantly clear that we always took 2nd place behind their commercial clients when it came time to work on our blind despite their position that they would take care of us asap. My suggestion is to save yourself time and aggravation-go somewhere else.

After calling around to several blind companies trying to find someone to fix my blinds, I looked here on Kudzu. I'm so glad I did! I found the Blind Repairman. They have great service and are very personable and friendly. I called this morning and they came out this afternoon. That is amazing! I have a few 2" wood blinds that wouldn't open or raise. Jerry came out and fixed them in my home. How great is that? I will definitely use them again. Thanks!!

My colonial-style shutters needed work, and the "kits" sold for do-it-yourself do not match them. They would have been expensive to replace. I was very pleased with the speedy service and the reasonable price. Jerry came out and took the shutters back to the shop, and they were ready when promised. I recommend this company highly.

I left a message and got a call back a couple of days later and an apology for not calling back sooner. The owner came by several hours later and fixed the cord on the spot for a lot less than replacing the shade. I was amazed because I had found no one willing to do the repair before contacting the Blind Repairman. I'd definitely use their service again.

6 months ago, my dog destroyed part of my wooden blinds. I found the blind repairman on kudzu.com. I dropped off the blinds and they were good as new in 2 days. I wanted to see how the blinds held up before I wrote a review. The blinds are still in great shape. I really appreciate the good work at a reasonable price. I am very pleased with the results. I highly recommend Blind Repairman.

I had tried off and on for months to find someone to fix the pull cord on one of my custom pleated shades. I finally tried Kudzu and found Jerry. I took the blind to him on Wednesday and had it back on Thursday. It is better than it was new! Jerry is a very nice person and gives great service. I recommend him if you need a blind repaired.

We had the Blind Repairman remove four plantation shutters, repair them, and re-hang them. They were picked up on a Monday and returned after only three days. It was nice to have someone do all the work without our having to wrestle with trying to remove the shutters and take them in for repair.

I was in need of repair for a custom wood blind and could not find any of the major stores that did repair work. I decided to try Kudzu.com and found the Blind Repairman. His service was great and he did the work for a fair price. I would recommend him to anyone in need of blind repair.

I found The Blind Repairman on Kudzu and I cannot be more pleased. I had been trying to get a blind repaired by the manufcturer for months. I took it to Jerry on a Saturday morning and had it back Sunday afternoon in perfect shape. Great guy!
