I went to see Dr. Bloor as a referral. I felt since the moment I walked in on my first appointment that she was professional but also felt that she is a business woman. I did come to find out she was out of network but was assured that my insurance for in and out of network would cover the same for dental work (... I ended up paying half of the actual cost, which was quite high, but I should have been more diligent, so I will take this on me, but it is important to note that the difference between estimate and actual was almost double...). Overall, the experience I had on the filling appointment was not great. I got anxious and actually very stressed out in the procedure. Four teeth in one visit can be too much...They were very few explanations as to the procedure dynamics, etc. She called me by the wrong name three times.. I think the appointment could have been handled better and I think the patience should have the option to decide how many teeth should be done in one visit, not only for comfort but also for cost clarity. I felt this was not clear and also I was not given the option, and as I came to experience it was too much discomfort.. as a patient I know better now, but I think I should have been given the option and the estimated cost in advance, considering it was out of network.

I recently visited Dr. Bloor's dental office for a filling and was pretty anxious, as I always am when going in for dental appointments, but Dr. Bloor and her staff made my experience pleasant, quick, and personable in a way that allowed me to relax and look forward to my next visit.

Thank you to Dr. Bloor and her staff for their consistent professional service. I appreciate the detail to attention and the personalized care that I always receive at Dr. Bloor's office. They utilize current technology superbly and I am always impressed by the continuing education classes that they participate in and share that information with me! I have had crowns done at this office that have bothered me since the day she put them in. She does not act like she cares at all. Not to mention, Every Visit I have had at this office I can hear Dr. Bloor talking to her employees in a very disrespectful way. The staff is great! She also makes crude and unnecessary comments while I am having any work done. I will not be going back!!

As a disclaimer, I have known Dr. Bloor for years but have only recently switched to her as a patient. But, I absolutely would not write this if it was not deserved ... Maybe it's that I have been with another dentist since moving to Atlanta in 1996 that I don't know any better, but the service and care at Dr. Bloor's office is outstanding. I honestly wish other service businesses were like this. They actually seem to really care. Dr. Bloor took the time to explain what she was doing. Gave me a clicker to hold in case I felt any discomfort. Sent me to a root canal specialist for a consultation rather than blaze ahead with one (personally, I really prefer someone who will give a "I believe this is the case, but since I am not 100% certain, I would like to get another opinion on this") as she was clearly most interested in what was best for me as opposed to what was best for her. Every single person in the office seemed to go out of their way to introduce themselves and seemed genuinely interested in my care. As a person who would like to never have to set foot in a dentist's office, I feel very fortunate to have found Dr. Bloor and her staff.

I've been going to Dr Bloor for a rather short time.She and her staff are always kind and respectful to me and understanding of the budget I have to work with.However, I do believe the fees are on the high side

Maximum charges and unnecessary dental work = bad for patients, but good for her pocket! Just a quick look-see (2 minutes!) in the mouth of a long-time patient and she STILL charged regular office visit.

Modern and up to date facility, very friendly staff that is more than willing to take time with you and explain your particular circumstances in detail. I have seen many dentist over the years and agree that some are less expensive, but in this case I think you get what you pay for and for the price and treatment you receive it will be well worth it!

I had the same experience as another reviewer about insurance coverage and not being informed. Also, told I needed multiple fillings at very high cost (with strange, additional charges) & a second opinion said I needed only one. When I said I wasn't getting them, their whole tone changed from 'couldn't be sweeter' to very rude and abrupt.

I agree with the last reviewer about cost. I wondered why I had to sign a mountain of paperwork as if getting a mortgage before 1st appt. She is so busy multitasking she is BRUTAL with the needle, very painful.Also recommended I needed a regular cleaning b4 deep scale cleaning 2 weeks later (this WAS B4 the 1st cleaning..she explained this was their procedure...which means that...she's gonna get as much $$ as possible for as little effort as possible. So I'm STILL searching for a decent dentist in the area.

I went to Dr. Bloor's office on a friend's referal. Dr. Bloor has a fantastic "bedside" manner and the hygienists are delightful. Financially is another story. Sure they accept a whole list of insurance plans, but they aren't actually in-network for any of them, and they don't tell you that when you make the appointment, when you get to the office, or when you leave. Before you get any work done there (cleaning, xrays, fillings, whatever), get an estimate from your insurance company. Mine is covering barely 40%. She also only uses a filling type that insurance companies consider "cosmetic" and won't cover at all. If I had known any of this, I'd've gone someplace else. Now, I'm stuck with a $400 dentist bill and a search for a new dentist.

I have been a patient of Dr. Bloor's for quite some time and must say she is nothing short of amazing. She is very thorough both in treatments as well as explaining each procedure. Her bedside manner is wonderful. Each time I've had major dental work done, she has called the following day to personally check on me. I can't say enough good about Dr. Bloor and her entire staff.
