Brooker Electric is outstanding: expert, conscientious, efficient, affordable, reliable, and really goes beyond the call of duty. Brooker Electric has done many jobs at our home over the years. Last time they were here to re-position & install a new ceiling light fixture they even patched the holes we left when we removed the old fixture! Always a pleasure working with these professionals!

As a contractor myself, I am a stickler for being on time. Gordon showed up when he said he was going to show up. We needed to add and move outlets in the construction of a new closet. Gordon did great work and explained every step of the process along the way. Would highly recommend.

Gordan did a wonderful job installing our light fixtures. He came out to our house, free of charge, to give is a quote. He was professional and his work was professional. He was wonderful to work with. I will continue to use him for our electrical needs! Thanks Gordan!!

I moved into a rental home in Woodstock and noticed that I could not plug in my dryer upon arrival. I call Mr. Brooker on a weekend and he arrived quickly and discovered that the receptacle was incorrect and wired missing the required 4th wire (4 prong receptacle), which is a huge safety issue. Within 2 hours he had run a new wire from the junction box to the new (correct) receptacle, tacking it down all the way. He also assisted me with plugging in a gas stove (plug was through the floor in the basement). Mr. Booker represents what a skilled tradesman used to, honest, professional, courteous and his rates are very reasonable. I have him in my smart phone contacts and will recommend him to everyone I work with.

I bought a house that is a real fixer-upper. I knew from the home inspection report that I had some electrical issues. I have now used Brooker Electric twice with complete satisfaction. Gordon Brooker offers estimates without a costly service charge. He arrives at the appointed time, listens to your concerns, and explains your options. He is dependable and his charges are reasonable. I highly recommend this company.

Very happy with Gordon. He explained everything so we didn't have any lingering questions before the work was done, gave a good price compared to another company we talked to, and took care of all the clean up so it was like he'd hardly been there. He also pointed out a couple of issues in our panel box that we didn't know about and that could have caused a problem down the road, and took care of those at no extra cost while he was out. It's things like that make me feel like I got the "extra mile" out of him in service. We will definitely be calling him again.

I had a frequent blackout problem in a certain part of the house. Gordon wanted to charge an outrageous amount ($850) to fix a loose neutral connection that he stated was in the living room cathedral ceiling and that he needed to rewire it thru the attic. Based on my suspicions, I had to hire a big name electrician who found a simple faulty bedroom outlet that was the cause of the blackout problem, and it cost a mere $26 to replace and problem fixed.

FOR THE SAFTY OF YOUR TENANTS, please immediately address the numerous & serious code violations (safety & fire hazards) identified & discussed during the 4 hours spent troubleshooting the faulty electrical circuit at this tenant-occupied property with you. (See quote below.)
During our initial phone conversation, you agreed to $225 for a "Find & Fix" for several lights & outlets working intermittently. I do not charge if I do not find the problem in a reasonable amount of time (in this case 4 hours). After extensive troubleshooting & wiring corrections, the issue appeared to resolve itself & I offered to return if your tenants said this problem reoccurred.
Meanwhile, I identified and explained a growing list of safety concerns that are part of &/or directly connected to the faulty circuit, including extension cord wiring in the attic that powered the attic fan & light. Since extension cord wiring in the attic is particularly severe & immediate fire hazard (& one that, as a professional licensed master electrician, I could not in good conscious ignore), I rewired it before resuming troubleshooting.
I did not ask for payment for either my extensive diagnosis (because I had not officially "found" the problem causing the lights & outlets to work sporadically & which by then had started working again) or for the immediately necessary repair work. When you asked how much you owed for the repairs & seemed intent on paying for that particular portion of my services, I suggested $112.50. You appeared happy with both my work & pricing.
You also seemed to understand the $850 estimate provided was not simply to "fix a loose neutral connection" but encompassed all of the following, which NEEDS to be done:
1. Remove great room ceiling fan. Replace existing box (bracket) with UL listed fan-rated metal box. Correct unsafe, ungrounded, & exposed wiring (electrical shock AND fire hazards). Reinstall fan. (Fan vibrations weaken non fan-rated boxes over time, causing them to fall, resulting in serious injury &/or property damage.)
2. Remove damaged wiring connected to faulty circuit. Run new circuit (approx. 75') to the bedrooms.
3. Replace wiring to fan box with wire run from new circuit.
Also found: missing attic fan junction box ground clip, non-working lights & outlets (requiring separate repair), & non-working fan speed controller. I always want to do the right thing for my customers but ABOVE ALL, FOR YOUR TENANTS TO BE SAFE.
While customer reports are always confidential, you have chosen to address this publicly (not returning voice/text messages to two numbers) and now have the disadvantage of the unsafe condition of your property being documented on a public forum should legal issues arise due to injury to any tenant, at any property.
Based on your review history, miscommunication with service companies is a fairly consistent issue for you. It is my hope that this response has been very clear.
You now know your property is unsafe.
This was the best experience with an electrical company I have ever had. Very knowledgable, prompt, reasonable priced, and great customer service. I highly recommend Brooker Electric.

We used him for a TV mount over a fireplace and and electrical problem in our laundry room. He was very prompt and thorough and we are very pleased with the work.

Mr Brooker has completed three projects for me while renovating my condo. He is one of the most professional and accomplished electrician I have ever met. His is meticiouls in his projects, a problem solving tech, logical, and neat. I had a bad wiring job done by another contrcator while hanging a Big Screen TV. Mr. Brooker had to cut into the walls and try to find the lost wire and then connect it. It was never installed so he used the hole he had made for the search and truned it into another outlet, ran a new wire 90 degrees and down(amazing) and conected the outlet. I was toaly impressed. I cannot recomend Mr. Brooker any higher. He knows whtat he is doing, is honest, and fair. Also, a veru nice fellow.

Mr. Brooker fixed our problems in a timely way, was reasonably priced and is very knowledgeable. I will gladly recommend him to friends and family. He is very polite and comes when he says he will. Job well done!!

This company is great. On Saturday afternoon I lost power in two rooms and it wasn't a breaker. I tried 9 companies and no one could come but Mr. Brooker. He showed up in no time and had it fixed. Thank you

Have used Mr. Brooker several times. He is prompt and communicates really well. He KNOWS electrical work!!!! Saved us more than once on previous work that was not done properly! Also got to the bottom of an electrical problem that baffled a previous Electrician. Did work inside our home, our yard and swimming pool! When moving an outlet plate, he quietly and perfectly plastered the wall instead of leaving us will a hole to repair on our own. He takes pride in his work, he's old school, he made us feel safe!
