My son is 8 months old, almost 9 months old and has been attending Brookside Academy in Alpharetta since November. He loves his teacher and all of the teachers who help in his class. They are truly passionate about caring for my son and all the children there. My son lights up every time we walk in the school. He gets so excited to see his teachers and I know he is in a safe and loving environment where he can have fun and learn! We get daily reports and pics of his day and we get to see everything he is learning to do. Even though he is in the infant room they work on so many things with him like sensory, language and cognitive activities. He is progressing so well for his age and they are now getting him ready to move to the next class up! This is a wonderful school and I am so thankful and glad our son is so loved and cared for!

From the first tour by myself, to the second tour with my husband, to the third tour with my mother and sister - I knew this is where I would send my child. The staff was more than welcoming and accommodating on each of my visits - they know this is a big decision. Between putting down the deposit, and showing up with a 4-day old newborn, the Brookside staff remembered me and was excited to meet my new little bundle of joy! Between then and her start date, we made several appearances to the daycare, unannounced, and they welcomed us each time with open arms, and allowed us to go sit in the room and talk with her teachers, to get her "used" to daycare, but really - it was for me. The teachers and staff at Brookside are unlike any others we have met. They have huge hearts, are super friendly and genuinely care about our daughter - which puts me at ease every day when I go to work. I am "that mom" that drops off her child and stays to talk with the teachers and staff - Brookside is just such a welcoming place, it's hard not to stay - even my husband will stay and talk (this is a big deal)! We can't wait to see the progress our daughter makes as she continues her journey through Brookside!"

I enrolled my daughter for the Jr and Sr programs. We both loved it! She graduated reading books, writing sentences, and loving math! The curriculum ends well into a kindergarten program. The teachers were kind, loving and welcoming. They love each one of their kids! Both the Director and Assistant Director are involved daily with the children and hold themselves to the highest childcare and academic standards. My daughter even now climbs into their laps for hugs. The school is always kept very clean, again to the highest standards, both personal and state regulated. The school is like an extension of our family. My daughter made many new friends (so did I) and she loved the productive learning atmosphere as well as the field trips! I truly believe she is ready for kindergarten socially and academically. Our time at Brookside was full of happy memories. It is consistently, year after year, the best private pre-school in Alpharetta!

Often people associate the number 7 with being lucky... that's how I feel about my two sons attending Brookside Academy.. LUCKY !My young men have attended Brookside for over 7 years...yes 7.. starting there with their pre-K program all the way up through their after-school care and summer camps. That number of years should be a testimony as to how I feel about Brookside Academy. We love the staff and the programs they offer. I feel at ease everyday knowing my boys are in safe hands. In particular, the owner Mindy has always taken a vested interest in my family and truly cares about us...and I know this applies to all her families. Mindy and Brookside truly stand apart from all other daycares. She is a child advocate for safety and is well respected through-out the community for this. Local news has come to Brookside several times to speak with Mindy about her policies and great concern for the safety and well being of the children. This care and concern not only applies to the students who attend her school, but other community daycares as well. I would always recommend Brookside Academy to anyone, we have been blessed to be apart of such a great school.. Lucky 7 and still going...

We enrolled our first born at Brookside Academy in the fall of 2010, he was just 2 1/2 years old. We had a wonderful 3 years there. The senior class just graduated and it was spectacular. Our son has made friends I hope he keeps for a long time. I made some wonderful friends as well that I know I will keep forever! I am confident that he is ready for kindergarten in the fall. He knows way more than I did as his age! I always found the staff to be open to suggestions as far as fun ideas and curriculum. I especially liked the field trips. I like learning outside of the classroom and I think that helps to prepare him for riding the bus in the fall. I can't wait for our second one to start this fall!

My son has been attending Brookside for over two years and I can honestly say that we could not be happier. He started in the two year old classroom and is now moving into the four year old classroom there and he LOVES it! The same teachers have been there from the time we have started and its just so nice to have that comfort. Every day we come in to such a happy place! The teachers keep us up to date with all of my sons progress and are always able to stop and talk with us when needed. All of the extras Brookside provides for us could not be matched anywhere and I would sincerely recommend Brookside to anyone!

I normally don't write reviews but felt compelled to after reading a few exceedingly negative comments regarding Brookside Academy. Our two children have been enrolled at Brookside for over 2 years and I couldn't imagine being anywhere else. The kids are loved, taught and cared for exceptionally. Like all parents, the safety and well being of our children is the most important thing to us and Mindy and her staff go above and beyond meeting our expectations when it comes to it. Brookside has felt like home since day one and I would recommend it for any family in the area looking for a great place to take care of their children. They make us feel like family as opposed to simply "revenue" which is evident by not only the way in which our whole family is treated but by the way Mindy gives back to the community on a regular basis. Don't believe everything you read. Just ask to speak to a parent and I know they will agree that Brookside is a wonderful choice for any child! Thanks for all that you do for us Brookside Academy!

I have to agree with all the negative reviews. I had to dis enroll my child recently. The school at Jones Bridge is filthy and very unsanitary. The toys look as though they have not been replaced nor sanitized in years. There has been a flood and it was not fixed for over a week. I had to complain as a parent in order for them start working on it. While it was sitting becoming molded, the infants, 1 yr olds, and 2 yr olds were in a afterschool aged class with dangerous surroundings. Very chaotic. As I came to pick my daughter up for at lunch time, the lunch they served is absolutely unacceptable. The management team is more concerned with there looks and wearing short dresses than enrollments and the children welfare. During naptime in the week my child was in the older class, I witnessed One of the teachers kissing a male right infront of her class door. While her children were at the table. Thats when I started contemplating leaving. The school is going downhill fast. The team of teachers are wonderful but that is simply not enough. The two ladies upfront will tell you anything mostly not the truth to satisfy you for the moment. I have been lied to and mislead in so many different situations, when I already knew the truth. They have lost to great teachers in less than three weeks. Think twice before you enroll. Or better yet look closely around the school, floors, walls, bathroom, furniture and it speaks for itself.

My daughter attending the school from 4 months of age. Today she is 3.5 years old. School is, beyond words, one of the best in the area. Staff, teachers and management are very attentive and are expert in their field. We are lucky we have found you and thankful to friends who recommended the school in the first place.

My daughters started at Brookside Academy 2 1/2 years ago when my youngest was only 6 weeks old. After researching and visiting many other centers in the Alpharetta/Johns Creek area I found that Brookside had the warmest, nurturing, and friendly atmosphere. When walking into many other centers I wanted to turn around and walk right back out, but as soon as I stepped foot through Brookside's doors I got "that warm, fuzzy feeling" and I just knew that this was where I would be enrolling my girls. My youngest is now in the Sophomore classroom and is constantly coming home and telling me about all of the fun things she did at school that day. She absolutely loves her teachers and has thrived in this environment. My older daughters are close to finishing the Senior (Pre K) program at Brookside and they will be attending Brookside's Private Kindergarten in the Fall. They have excelled so much here and I simply could not be happier with my choice to send my girls to Brookside Academy. The staff and management take a personal interest in all of the children and I am so blessed to have such a wonderful extended family in them!

As working parents we've been very happy at Brookside for past 3 years. They're respectful of different cultures - have vegetarian menu. Their academics are high but they keep it fun for the kids.

My two year old was bitten twice in a week from a same classmate who has repeatedly been biting other kids. They told me their biting policy is that a child has to bite three times within a day before they can do anything meaning a child can bite kids twice a day, every day without any disciplinary. I voiced my opinion and concern and they told me I had choice to leave. Another words, I was asked to leave if I didn't like their ridiculous policy. It also took two months of numerous phone calls and emails to get key deposit back. Teachers are not warm to kids either. I saw one teacher snatching breakfast away leaving a child crying because the child poured milk into a bowl with cupcake in it. At the end of the day, only one teacher is left to care for the entire class and they look overwhelmed always. The principle is unprofessional rude inconsiderate individual who prioritize money before children's safety and parents concern. They do fund raising, parents night out etc to cover up what really goes on during the day. I would never recommend that school.

When looking for a preschool for my children, it was very important to me that I find a school where the Owner is involved and takes an interest in her school. I've been to several places that are considered franchises or chains and it is very obvious that you are paying for the "name" and not the high quality of care. The Owner of Brookside knows all three of my children by name and is constantly at the school and in the classrooms. You can tell she truly loves what she does. I would never have my children anywhere else.

Our son is 4 now and has been attending Brookside since he was 1. It is a wonderful feeling as a parent to be able to drop your child off at school and not have to worry about their well-being or safety. Brookside is a very clean, safe, and loving environment. The teachers communicate with you daily about your child's activities. They are always doing something fun and educational. Our son will be entering their pre-k program in August and already he is recognizing sight words, writing, can name the planets in order and tell you about each one. He is learning addition and subtraction. It is an endless list of things he has learned at Brookside. More importantly our son LOVES going to school and loves his teachers. He has asked us to bring his teachers on vacation with us because he loves them so much. I highly recommend this school and will be very sad when our son leaves for first grade.
