EXTREMELY pleased patient!! I was referred to Dr. Straughn by a friend after sharing my frustration with my acne issues. I have been dealing with this issue for the last 8 1/2 yrs and today is the first time in a long time that I have felt comfortable in my own skin. I have seen many dermatologist of various ethnicity and had no real improvement. I highly recommend Dr. Straughn for any skin issues. She is thorough and caring. I have recommended her to many associates already.

Straight up. Dr. Struaghn's office billed my insurance for a surgery. It was an in patient removal of a mole. They also told me that my bill included the lab work. They would not correct my bill. In fact I could never get an office manager on the phone. I ended up with a sperate lab bill. My insurance company and the lab that did the work could not get an office manager on the phone either. In fact they were hung up on. I paid a lot of money I should not have becuase the staff improperly billed and refused to correct it. We filed a formal complaint. Please search this site for reviews of Sherrie-Ann Struaghn so you can get a clear picture of this practice

SO my tag line might be a little strong, but it only shows how much I think if this doctor. I have been going to her for over 4 years and she has really changed my life. I had acne so bad, I was ashamed of how I looked. I tried all types of skin care products and glycolic procedures and nothing worked. I finally listed to a friend and went to her dermatogist and the rest is history. Today I have beautiful skin. I have had various small skin problems and she has always listed and corrected them. It does take a while when you go to her office, but it is because she gives you a full body exam. I can say that she really cares about her patients and she take great pride in her work. She is not a salesman but a wonderful doctor. I have referred over 15 people to her office and they all over her.

I'm surprised at the first review about Dr. Straughns professionalism and her junk mail as I first saw her almost 12 years ago (when she was at the Piedmont center). I have used her for mole removal, acne care, and keloids (scar revision). I like her and continue to see her as needed. I have never had junk mail sent to my home and I really like her alot. Again, she has been my dermatologist since the mid 90s and I've seen her probably a dozen or more times and would recommend her (I have only been to her new location on Hardman Court twice).

This doctor plays on your fears in order to sell expensive products & services. She sent me advertising via certified mail - so they wouldn't leave the letter at my home if I wasn't there. I was forced to drive all the way to the post office to pick up a piece of mail only to find that it was a letter urging me to get services from her (I have no life threatening illnesses) that cost into the thousands of dollars. This doctor sent me junk mail Certified! She tried to convince a friend of mine that she had hormonal issues - so that my friend would purchase expensive laser therapy that she did not need (she realized this later after going to another specialist who was more concerned about her health than trying to sell her stuff). After comparing notes with my friend, we realized that Dr. Straughn is more like a salesperson/marketer. I've been to many dermatologists - I cannot recommend this one. If you do go, inform her staff that you would not like to be placed on their mailing list for advertisements. If they do send a mailing to you, let them know that you don't need it certified. She did not listen well to me - the advice she gave was not consistent with other advice I've been given that worked (from doctors in other states where I used to live) and my skin problems were not solved with what she prescribed/recommended.

This review must have been intended for another dermatology practice. This practice has never sold products, nor has ever sent advertising via mail. In fact it is one of the very few dermatology practices to not sell such products, because the doctor thinks it is a conflict of interest to do so. The samples provided to patients come from major pharmaceutical companies and are supplied for free.
I asked a friend for a referral to a dermatologist. After hearing her rave about Buckhead Dermatology, I gave it a try. Now I'm raving about my experience.
