Upon booking my first appointment I was satisfied with the friendliness of the receptionist. They got me in within a week for a filling replacement and 6-mo cleaning. After my first visit I felt like the dentist was one that TRIES TO GET YOU TO BUY EVERY PRODUCT AND SERVICE SHE OFFERS. An example: the dentist said I need a mouth guard and that she would put it in my treatment plan - which I never actually saw by the way. Right after she suggested it to me, and after looking at my teeth for all of 2-3 minutes, she proceeded to go to the patient across the hallway and tell him the exact same thing - he apparently needed a mouth guard and it would be in his treatment plan too. I had a filling replaced during my first visit and an additional filling replaced a week or two later, and MY TEETH HAVE NEVER FELT THE SAME SINCE. I have NEVER HAD SENSITIVITY PROBLEMS UNTIL I SAW THIS DENTIST. I have been back TWICE to have it altered because they said the sensitivity was caused by the filling being too tall. My second visit to fix her mistake I never even saw the dentist, but instead WAITED OVER AN HOUR and left because the dentist was apparently seeing an emergency appointment - which they failed to tell me when I arrived. My scheduled appointment would only have taken 5-10 minutes.

Convenient Buckhead location. Staff is friendly and professional. Office is clean and inviting. I met Portia alomost 10 years ago at a professional network event - she has been a great find! I was seeking a good, clean dentist; as the prior dentist office I'd visited left me with a disturbing feeling when I saw the hygentist open the package of a supposedly fresh instrument and began to pick at it to clean it - not cool:(. Portia and her staff have cared for my daughter's teeth through braces and beyond; and they recently brightened my smaile with a Zoom treatment! I refer family and friends as Portia and her staff have taken great care of our smiles :) Continued success!

Buckhead Smiles was recommended to me at a time when I was searching for a dentist with a high degree of knowledge and professionalism and I have loved the experience. My husband had his own dentist at the time but soon thereafter transferred over and has enjoyed the professionalism of the staff as well. Also we appreciate the educational piece we receive on the status of our oral hygiene and next steps to take to address or avoid any dental concerns. Our small children are serviced here and the anxiety levels are kept at a minimum as the staff go above and beyond to create a kid-friendly environment that is swift and non-threatening. I have not experienced any overbooking and have always been seen at my appointment time which is very refreshing. I am a firm believer in visiting and interviewing an establishment before making a decision and would encourage anyone to stop by and observe for yourselves as I'm sure you will be pleased!!!

The staff and doctor took the time to explain everything to me. The doctor gave me options and information about my dental issues. She took the time to show me pictures of what was happening to my gums and teeth. She also showed me a plan of action. Also, the manager sat down with me and showed me an estimate of how my insurance would help me pay for the dental work. The entire team seemed to be on one accord. They've won me over!

I have done several root canals there and bought porcelain crowns. Unfortunately the crowns Dr Grayson put for me were cheap in quality based on what other dentists said and their bottom showed a metal lining on the gum line. I told dr. Portia about that and she recommended me an implant. Well finally I'm free of the low quality work of yours doctor. I have gone to another dentist and replaced all the crowns u put with a higher grade of porcelain. They even look very real and their color matches my teeth color not brighter. I'm very disappointed with the dishonest recommendations you have put. I think whoever likes their teeth shouldn't go there unless they do cleaning something simple no porcelain crowns involved.

Upon visiting the office, I was greeted by a nice and friendly staff.... Dr. Grayson is not so warming. She just seemed as though she wanted to get the job done and get me out of the chair! It took all of 15mins. I was not even given a review of my x-ray's- yet told that I need to schedule an appointment for some new fillings. I hope my next visit is better. #lastchance

Dr. Grayson and her staff are knowledgeable, gentle, caring, and most of all professional! I am always seen right away and as a busy professional I really appreciate that. There are a lot of options in the Atlanta area for dentistry, and I will never go anywhere else! Dr. Grayson is very thorough and takes the time to explain procedures and treatment plans. Hands down the "Best Dentist in Town"!!!!

I love Buckhead Smiles. The People: The staff is wonderful. They are willing to take their time explaining things fully. They listen to your needs and you never feel rushed. And Dr. Grayson Murray is the best thing about Buckhead Smiles!! She has a calm and peaceful demeanor. The Quality: Buckhead Smiles is up-to-date with all the latest equipment. You can watch television while they work on you, which is a good distraction :) Follow-up: Buckhead Smiles will make sure you go home knowing how to take care of your smile at home. Overall: I used to be afraid of the dentist, but that's all changed since going to Buckhead Smiles. Thank you Dr. Grayson.

This dentist dislodged a molar while pulling another, then insisted that it was already like that. The partial she made was horrible. I had to have it replaced I have spent thousands getting her substandard work repaired. My current dentist was appalled when he saw her work.

In the history of my 8 years of practicing, I have never inadvertently dislodged a tooth while extracting a patient's tooth. I cannot confirm who this patient is or why he/she is under the impression that this happened. I am very honest with my patients and will not try to pass something that was done inadvertently as though it was existing. I would invite him/her to my office to allow me to review their x-rays to address this issue. As well, I would encourage the patient to provide to me their current dentist's contact so that I can further explore what restorations were found faulty that needed to be replaced.
Dr. Murray is easy going and easy to talk to about your dental needs. She explains everything to you so that it is easy to understand what needs to be done and the best way for it to be fixed. She does not rush and does take time with each individual person as if you were the only one there. The staff is very kind and there is a friendly atmosphere. I would highly recommend her as a dentist.

After visiting Dr. Grayson's office, I will look no further. She has the best bedside manner I have encountered from a dentist. She's always easy to talk to and offers dialog about how to improve my oral health. I have visited her office twice, and I feel like I have found a group of friends there.

After reviewing the post from previous subscribers I was torn on whether to utilize the services, but given it's proximity I set an appointment. Something should have triggered me to not move further when this task proved to be too difficult for the receptionist. I can only venture to say that this girl must be a relative or friend and given the job out of favor, because she is extremely underqualified, but the poor service did not stop there. Quite possibly one of the most painful experiences of my life. The hygienist proceeded with the cleaning and I mentioned the backs of my teeth only to have her say nobody cares about the backs of your teeth. For the brief second the dentist was actually present she said nothing and offered no time for me to say anything. I would not recommed anyone utilizing them, unless you are a deep pocketed glutton of punishment, who doesn't care about dental care.

After reviewing this post, I and my staff have confirmed that this patient does not exist is our patient data base. Furthermore, the support staff in our practice are highly qualified and includes a hygienist with more than 13 years experience and front office personnel who has a combined 8 years of experience. The accusations made in this review are completely inconsistent with our customer service and treatment philosophies.
