We got a sofa from them about a year ago. Yes, the guy may be a bit eccentric, but we did not have any of the service issues that others have mentioned. The price & quality of sofa is unbeatable. It was picked as Clark Howard's Best Buy in I believe Money Magazine. The owner told me that he was like the guy from the movie Rain Man, so I'm guessing may have some issues. I have done quite a bit of research, and for that price & quality, you cannot buy that kind of furniture from anywhere else in Atlanta.

I spent $ 2500.00 on the fabric bought through this store. The loveseat and sofa cost less less than the fabric - not unusual, I know. The Upholstery portion of the sofas is good. THE CUSHIONS FOR BOTH SEATS AND ALL BACKS ARE CUT INCORRECTLY! If Ted had half a brain, he would have made the manu. fix my sofas by having the fill & cushions re-cut. Instead, he tells me that with all sofas, you have to take out the fill or cushion and reposition everything every week or so. I have bought furniture for hotels for 25 years and have never had someone tell me such a lie to my face. Who cares what your price is...the cushions will have to be remade and you have lost a client and I will tell everyone to stay away from you!!!

We ordered our custom sofa from Buckhead Sofa in October. They said it would take 6-8 weeks, but when it finally arrived 12 weeks later, it was the wrong fabric. They said they'd correct the problem, rush it through. No discount offered, other than us not having to pay shipping twice (well, duh). Twelve more weeks went by (SIX MONTHS total) with us calling every few weeks to ask WHAT THE HELL WAS TAKING SO LONG. And of course, we paid by check so we felt trapped. Finally our new sofa arrived. It's lovely, but no way would we ever go through that again.

This is going to sound familiar reading the other reviews... but I went there looking for multiple pieces of furniture. I was shopping at many stores and initially, I will always want to just "look around" to get a feel of the store, the people, the style of furniture, etc. A man who worked there, I'm assuming the much discussed owner, approached me asking if he could assist. I said that I'd like to look around first. He then said that he wanted to give me a breakdown of how the furniture was made, etc., and I repeated very nicely that I just wanted to look around. At that point, he absolutely lost it. He started cursing a blue streak including the F***-Bomb and I got scared. I headed for the door ASAP - as he continued to scream obscenities at me. This was within 15-30 seconds after I entered the store. This guy needs to be locked away. A lady that worked there looked mortified but also looked like she had "seen that show" before.

This is the first of many reviews I plan on writing discouraging anyone from every stepping foot into this horrible store owned by a horrible man named Ted. He may come across as nice at first, but after he gets your initial deposit (which you MUST pay in CASH), I honestly believe that his goal is to treat his customers so terribly that they decide not to pay off their remaining balance. It is unbelievable that this store is still allowed to operate, but make sure you read all of the awful reviews this store receives by multiple websites (including the better business bureau) before you consider doing business here. Ted treated my wife and I like we were worthless pieces of garbage, and he will do the same to you. The furniture is pretty nice, and may be discounted, but I would have rather paid a higher price and been treated like a human being than to have gone through such a horrible process with this store. PLEASE do yourself a favor and avoid Buckhead Sofa Store!

I had a bizarre experience at this store! While browsing with my husband, we were confronted by the store manager, an older man, who threatened and swore at us when we politely refused his strange tour of the store! The employee present was sweet and apologetic, and seemed quite frightened of this manager/owner.

I cannot emphasize enough that you should not do business with these people. We have been lied to and hung up on and ignored. We feel taken advantage of and are trying to get our deposit back. It has been 8 1/2 weeks and we were told we would get it when we get it, which would be at least another 8 to 10 weeks. I will be reporting them to the BBB.

Got a nice deal on a sofa from this store but would have never bought it had I known how rude and difficult the owners are with customers. It took over 10 days from paying my balance due to get the sofa delivered. It took over 5 argumentative calls to finally line up delivery. All I got were excuses, then shrugging, and finally condescending put-downs saying that for the price I paid this sort of service was to be expected. Nice sofa but will never deal with these people again. Beware...

Do yourself a favor and read the reviews here and at other sites (Angie's List, Better Business Bureau) before buying from Buckhead Sofa. I made the mistake of purchasing from them, and it's now been months of nothing but headaches, excuses, and broken promises.

Frankly, this was the worst experience I have ever had dealing with service providers. They may have "North Carolina prices" but it is worth it to spend a little more and get some service. The owners never called unless the product was in and they wanted their money. When due dates came and went, they never called to update us on the status of our order. When the fabric for our first order was discontinued they didn't bother to call us or return our calls. We had to go in to find out why we didn't have our sofa, chair, and ottoman. We placed a second order. The chair and ottoman came in on time (they state 6 to 8 weeks) and we got a call right away...we owed them the balance. When our sofa came in, late and without explanation, they failed to deliver our custom pillows. However, they had been paid the full balance before they would deliver. They kept telling us they would find our pillows in one week, then two weeks, etc. After nearly 11 months of dealing with these people, we finally went to the store to get a straight answer and the male owner yelled and screemed at us, in the store, and kicked us out. We had to send a certified letter of complaint to get this guy to track down our pillows, then he told my husband to go pick them up at their warehouse. How's that for customer service?
