Recently I had a chance to get back into Bully's East. The usual aromas of cooking food, and fresh tap beer were in the air. This time there was something different. As you walk in, the smell of fresh wood and lacquer mixed in with the usual aromas. The restaurant had done some remodeling to their patio area and another room for dining. It looks very modern and appealing to sit in. I chose to sit on the patio and enjoy a piece of prime-rib. The new televisions and tables made it nice and cozy to enjoy my meal, a beer, and the Master's golf tournament. This might be my new place for sports watching! The food is always great and the changes they've made really show the pride they have in their food and service. Thanks again Bully's, I'll be back!

Wow! I walked into Bully's the other day and was amazed to see a beautiful patio remodel. What a gorgeous new space to watch the bustle of Mission Valley go by as you sip a cocktail and enjoy some amazing prime rib. There are tons of big screen tv's to watch your favorite sporting events, fun-loving and knowledgeable waitstaff, and great food! I also love their happy hour, great food and drink prices. I highly recommend their baked brie. Definitely will be returning to Bully's East!

If you are coming to San Diego (or live in San Diego), one eatery to AVOID is Bully's East. The food is O.K., prices are high and the owner, at least in my situation, is/was very unethical and NOT honorable. Bully's EAST did honor a portion of the $200 gift certificate (purchased on SkyAuction for $90.00) that we tried to redeem. My wife and I went for Dinner and our bill came to $80 and change. I gave them the $200 certificate and the bill was taken care of but I was not given credit for the additional $120.00. (No where on the certificate did it state that it(certificate)"must be used in one sitting," but that is what the restaurant personal stated. It did state" NO CASH BACK which was fine with us...we did not want cash back, (but we did want the $120 credit which was not used.) The manager called the owner at home and was told to tell us to bad. The restaurant owner said not to honor the remaining balance. I went in the next day to speak directly with the owner because I "knew that there must be a misunderstanding," but nope, no misunderstanding, he basically said "to bad." My wife and I will NOT be going back. The pompous attitude that was displayed was the hardest to understand...

This is the best French Dip I've ever found. And the French Onion soup is also very good. Do NOT order soda here. I send it back every time, it always tastes flat.

Forget the high priced places, if you want to have excellent prime rib and wear your shorts and t-shirt to dinner too, then Bully's it is. Great prices, friendly staff and attentive bar. After this you won't order prime rib anywhere else.

Great prime rib. This used to be a favorite lunch spot but now they raised prices too much. $17 for an open face (small)prime rib sandwich is a little much. My favorite was the king crab served at lunch but that was removed from menu

When it comes to Prime Rib, you won't find any finer anywhere. (There are few other places in San Diego that equal it) With garlic mashed potatoes and french onion soup, this is a feast for a king. Great atmosphere and service. Most evenings be prepared to wait in line or at the bar for a table. Hamburgers almost as great as Lary's

Bully's East is a great restaurant to go after a long day. They have a wonderful selection of entrees on their menu. They also have great specials on certain dishes. The waitress was very friendly and accomodating. I would definitely go again.
