I contacted CRT Mortgage while shopping for a mortgage and worked with the site manager. I will say that he was very quick to respond to my email inquiries and get me estimates. However, when I told him that I wanted to work with him he informed me 24 hours later that he had made a mistake in my esimate, but that he was going to do everything in his power to get me the rate he quoted me. After failing to get me an offer even close to the estimate, he tried to convince me to leave my rate "floating" and lock in sometime in the following week. At this point, it looked very much as if he had simply pulled a bait and switch on me. Giving him the benefit of the doubt, I will assume that it was a legitimate mistake. Even then, however, he knew what the other estimates were that I had in front of me because I shared them with him (i.e. he did/should have known that the other estimates I was looking at were more competitive). Rather than advise me on what was best for me (i.e. to go with another banker/broker), he only kept his own business and interest in mind and tried to take advantage of my relative ignorance in the process (I was a first time homebuyer). He never formally apologized for the mistake and insisted that this type of thing was normal. My recommendation is to contact them if you are familiar with the mortgage process. If not, stay away because they may try to take advantage of you!
