I normally fill all my prescriptions at Sam's Club pharmacy because they are always cheaper, but I had a coupon to get a $25 gift card with a new prescription at CVS. It was a generic prescription, so I wasn't expecting it to be horribly expensive. When I went to pick it up, however, it was $125.00! I had second thoughts about purchasing it, but decided it should be a reasonably good deal with the $25 gift card. When I got home, I phoned Sam's pharmacy to see what their price was, and it was $67.81 for the exact same prescription! That is HALF the price I paid at CVS. Even with the $25 card, I still paid more than $30 more than I would have at Sam's. I feel like I was robbed. I'll NEVER go back to CVS to get a prescription again. Unless you have insurance that pays a flat rate for prescriptions, call around before just going to the nearest pharmacy. The prices are THAT much different. Sam's Club has had the best price for every prescription I've had. CVS is one of the most expensive out there.
