The $25 gift card offer was what got me to bring my subscription in to CVS. However, CVS couldn't honor it, saying this month's promotion was only for a transferred prescription and I'd have to bring in the coupon from the paper when it came out the following month for the giftcard promo. Well, that turned out to be a good thing because in that time, I found that the prescription actually cost less at Bushard's Pharmacy downtown. Maybe the way CVS is paying for all those gift cards is by tacking a little extra onto the cost? In any case, trying to get people to switch over wasn't worth the hassle: "oh you need this coupon and our promotion is something else this month." The experience left a bad taste in my mouth, especially since I'd be paying more for refills on my prescription every time I came in to the store. The quality of the products in the rest of this chain drugstore is fine but shop around before you assume all pharmacies are the same in terms of cost and service.
