Cafe Heidelberg USED to be a nice little place with great affordable German cuisine. The prices have doubled; the food is okay, good but not great. But worst of all was the service. You could have drawn a line behind our waitress to track her progress. She was forgetful, we asked 4 times for water refills, and finally asked someone who was bussing the table next to ours. She was extremely rude and when asked a question, ignored it and walked away. I firmly believe in tipping service, not percentage, so her tip reflected her service. After we walked out, she came out the door and rudely "thanked us" for our "generous" tip. I have never in my life been so disgusted! Save your time and money, don't go to Cafe Heidelberg, unless you like mediocre food, and slow obnoxious wait staff.

The only place to get authentic German cuisine in the Las Vegas area. Food is fantastic, but the staff was a little slow and slightly unfriendly. I spent nearly an hour browsing their little deli area, though ... and that made up for what the help lacked.

We were quite disappointed in the Cafe Heidelberg this time. We have been long time customers of theirs and we're not sure what changed, but it definitly has. We had a reservation, my husband had made it the day before, but upon coming in they had no record of the reservation. We purposely made the reservation because we know this is a very small restaurant and we wanted to insure we would get a seat. The food wasn't as great; my husband didn't even finish his and he LOVES German food. We were wondering if the chef has changed. Most certainly the taste of the food has changed. Mine was good.. but it could have been better as far as I remember what it could have tasted like. Our guest didn't even finish his soup because he was so disinterested in it. The service was pretty slow. The waitress forgot to suggest items (like my dish came with mushrooms and I forgot about it until I got my dish without them). They should have had two people helping out at least on a Saturday night, but it was left to one lady. I felt sorry for her. Music was good, there was still the live gentlman playing the instrument that I do not know the name of.

Great German food. You get large portions of authentic German food for a reasonable price. The service is good and the wait staff is friendly. Use the coupon in the entertainment book for 2 for 1 meals.
