We decided to try California Dreaming last night. Put our name one the list and was told it would be about 25 mins. and headed to the bar for one of their itty-bitty, over priced martinis. Waited for our gadget to light up and waited and waited. The bar was understaffed and we were never asked if we'd like something else. Finally my friend went to the hostess and she had forgotten us, and threw the name sheet away, BUT she said that we'd be the next one she'd call. We sat and waited (and waited) and they were seating other ppl. That was all I needed to see and we commented to the hostess and she laughed nervously (never apologized) and I said, "Forget it, we're leaving". The manager followed me outside and wanted to 'talk'...but as I told him, "I have been in the restaurant industry for over 15 years and there is nothing that can fix this...one mess up, I can understand on a busy night, but twice and then try to laugh it off is WRONG and I won't be staying". He got all upitty and I told him to stop being defensive and walked away. Just another chain with arrogant management and poor service. Same old same old.

Unbelievable (and unbeatable) $1.95 drinks! The bartenders are always nice and friendly when I come with my husband, they always are there to make smalltalk with. The food is great; I've only had a couple things on the menu, but I highly recommend this place. Awesome service!

My husband and I visited the restaurant yesterday, and everything was great! The service was excellent and the staff was so friendly. The servings were a little too big; but I guess that is nothing to complain about. Will be returning very soon!

The layout of the resturant is great as you have quite corners for two and a large area for larger groups. The wait staff is on their toes no matter how many in your group. The presentation and quality of the food is above average. Great place for lunch or dinner.

I wnet there with a girlfriend for drinks and appetizers. The bartendress suggested an upscale vodka for our martinis. We had only one appetizer and our bill was way over $100.00!!! I understand upselling, but really now.

We have only had one bad experience at this place. We dine at California Dreaming off of 85, frequently, as well as a few other of our family members. We always receive prompt service from our waiter/waitress. There salads simply cannot be beat and there chicken fingers are excellent! Every restaurant will have there good and bad when it comes down to there cooks. We have had one bad experience with our food not being cooked to order, though that problem was quickly fixed and the manager on duty came out to our table to apologize. We are all humane and we all make mistakes from time to time.

Clearly this place has gained some type of popularity within the last couple years. I used to patron all the time during college because it was high quality and affordable. Everything has changed, the quality of food and service has gone down the tubes and in the process they've managed to raise their prices through the roof. Perhaps it's just the locations in Atlanta, because I've never had such poor service and subpar food in other areas where I've patroned this establishment.

My experience was so bad at the location in Kennesaw that I signed up to this just to complain. The only thing positive I can say about Cali. Dreaming is I'm not there anymore.

Except for one time where we sat right beside the kitchen area, we've enjoyed California Dreamin' as a great place for a "girl's night out." Excellent service, and good food for the money.
