I hired Cambridge for a unique situation - I needed a temporary full-time nanny but would switch to a part-time nanny for the long term. When I first spoke with the owner, Ingrid, she indicated that good part-time nannies are rare, but made me feel like her team could fill my need. Unfortunately that did not happen. Ingrid consistently missed the deadlines she set for herself and I had to keep prodding her to send me additional candidates. She was able to place a temporary nanny, but I was not satisfied and was very interested in talking to more candidates for the long term. It took a month for her to arrange an interview with a candidate I'd consider for the long-term. Moreover, I never felt like Ingrid understood what I wanted in a nanny, so the majority of candidates she presented were not at all a fit. She knew the basic requirements, but never tried to get an understanding of the qualities our family needed in a nanny for it to be a good fit. When I confronted her on this issue, she dismissed those as "soft skills" that were not very important. While she will tell you in the beginning of your search that selecting a nanny is a very personal decision, she really did not seem to grasp that personality is a huge factor in the nanny search process. I identified a permanent nanny through my personal network. Ingrid offered to give me a refund since I was so dissatisfied. That was 2 months ago and I am still waiting for my money.

Please do not use this service if you are looking for a nanny agency that stands behind their screening process and recommendations. We hired a nanny through Cambridge that was personally recommended by the owner as "wonderful both personally and professionally" and she turned out to be total opposite. Four months into the employment we had to terminate the relationship. Cambridge offered to replace our nanny but would not offer a refund of our (very expensive) fee. Given the first experience we had with them we were reluctant to trust their recommendations so a replacement was not an option. Providing refunds is the industry standard and almost ALL other agencies stand behind their business and offer refunds. For us it seems Cambridge didn't care about anything other than collecting the initial $2500 fee. We hired Cambridge because as first time parents we were overwhelmed and nervous about finding the right person to invite into our home and more importantly care for our daughter. Unfortunately, by using Cambridge we got a less than desirable nanny at a high cost. I hate writing negative reviews and it is not in my nature to do so but I would not want any other parents to go through the stress we did by using Cambridge. I know there are other great agencies out there - use one of them and don't make the same mistake we did.

I was a little nervous about the Virtual recorded interviews but it turned out to be easy. The staff made me feel really comfortable. All of the good nannies I know find work through Cambridge Nanny Group so I was sooo excited when I was called for an interview. There office looks so nice. Everyone was very nice and sweet and was surprised by how long they spent getting to know me. This was a wonderful experience.
