Cat care of Vinings has exceptionally good bedside manner but killed our cat and billed us $2,500 for the privilege. Our 8 year old furry son Floyd fell ill Wednesday evening. We took him in Thursday morning. The initial cost estimate was $500-$1,500 to diagnose including blood work and a likely in-patient stay. After doing the blood work they called to say he had a blocked urinary track but his prognosis was "very good... much better than we were thinking." They recommended we operate immediately to relieve pressure on his bladder and repair it if needed... cost estimate - $3,000-$5,000. We told them to proceed. One hour later they called to tell us they were too late and that he died on the table. Despite the fact that they only had him a few hours and failed to save him, they refused to reduce the cost until we threatened to share our story on Yelp at which point they reduced their fee $200... too little too late. Had they saved him or even given him a fighting chance we would have been fine paying the $5,000. Had they not suggested surgery, we still would have spent $500-$1,500 but at least he would have died at home with us instead of on a cold operating table. Instead they lead us on - either because they wanted our money or because they failed to diagnose him properly - greedy or incompetent... pick your poison.

Thank you for expressing your feelings during what must be a very difficult time. We share in your grief on the loss of Floyd; losing a precious baby is a painful experience that affects everyone. Please know that we are here for you and your family with respect and compassion during this difficult time.

I was so pleased with everything about Cat Care of Vinings. We were given a lot of time at our appointment and a thorough explanation of everything going on with our Tunagirl. The exam rooms are very relaxing for both the cats and the humans, which helps lower the stress of being at the vet. I am very excited to have found a veterinarian that specializes in feline care!

This was my first visit to Cat Care of Vinings and will now be my Modern Lilac Point Siamese boy , Gaelin. The clinic is all things cat and have a very welcoming atmosphere for both myself and my cat. The clinic has cat tree's throughout with furniture that is geared towards all cats.. Her staff are great and provide a calm and reassuring environment for both my cat and myself.. Dr. Mike is my vet, although they have two other vets on staff. When you deal with a breed specific clinic you can feel confident that they have a much larger base of knowledge, rather than piece meal between dogs and other animals.. Dr. Mike took a large amount of time observing Gaelin out of the carrier, while obtaining his medical history from me. She advised on a treatment plan, costs and prognosis for the condition that I brought him in for. She is extremely knowledgeable and experienced holding several degree's including Feline specialty, and it is very evident that she has a great Love for all things Feline..I feel I can trust her judgement and feel secure in her clinic.. I highly recommend "Cat Care of Vinings", to everyone that wants only the Best for there wonderful Feline Companions..

I have been constantly impressed with the quality of the folks of Cat Care of Vinings. These people love you pet almost as much as yo do. This seems less like a business and more like a labor of love. Doctor Mike and her staff always keep you in the loop of what is happening with you pet and put both you and your pet at ease while providing first rate care for you cat.

I cannot recommend Cat Care of Vinings enough! I discovered Cat Care several years ago when I had a very prickly angora cat named Lazslo. Uncharacteristically, he loved the staff at the clinic. When Lazslo became ill and eventually died, Cat Care helped make his last weeks easier for both he and me. When I adopted my current cat, Tallulah Belle, when she was almost 10, Cat Care of Vinings became her health care provider. The Vets have taken time to know and understand both my kitties. All clinic staff are caring, knowledgeable, and , generally, first rate.

We have had four legged "furry" kids for many years now. And make no mistake, they ARE our kids and love them as such. Also, we have been fortunate to have great vet care (for the most part) for our kitties the past several years. But, we must say that Dr. Jennifer Palmer @ Cat Care of Vinings, is the BEST. Her medical experience, bedside manner, candor, and quest for knowledge on feline health care, is immeasurable. She goes beyond the call of duty to "reach-out" for answers and health options you may not be aware of. This makes one feel very good and confident you're in the right place and making the best and rational choices for your cats health. Thanks Dr. Palmer. We feel Danny Boy and Boston are getting immaculate care and it is so easy to visit (you) & your office. Everyone is really nice and accommodating. We are glad we came aboard last year and are extremely happy. Our little guys have had a myriad of ailments (as you know) and your thoughtfulness and insightful care have them happy and healthy today. We appreciate that, very much. We'll see you soon! Thank you, Billy, Frankie, Danny Boy & Boston

This was our first visit and first time having a cat. Our cat's name is Battle and is 4 months. The staff was very kind, professional and knowledgeable. Doctor Jennifer Palmer was patient, kind, and educated us very thoroughly. The price was decent and we will continue to take Battle for further care.

We have been taking our cats to Cat Care of Vinings for over 3 years now. We have senior cats and kittens and the staff is always precise, professional and caring. We have worked with all 3 doctors and our cats health has always been a priority with them all. They have been there for us in hard times and good times.

The veterinarians and staff here are very professional, caring and thorough (they check for things other vet clinics don't). They genuinely love their clients (i.e. cats). My cat Maxwell loves Dr. Mike and Dr. Jennifer !!

We decided to try Cat Care of Vinings because going to the vet is traumatic enough for our cat without having all sorts of dogs barking in the back! We were so happy with our experience here. They treated our senior cat with kindness. We will be going back to see Dr. Jennifer Palmer. She was awesome!!!

I called Cat Care of Vinings yesterday to discuss an issue we've been having with our Siamese, Oliver. Danielle was very eager to help and she was able to get us a second opinion appointment later in the day. When we got there, we were welcomed in and handled promptly. The office is very cozy and inviting and felt more comfortable than other vets we have been to. Danielle initially took all of Oliver's details and vitals and was able to address any questions I had that she could until Dr. Palmer came in to see Oliver. Dr. Palmer was fantastic. She was very open about what she felt was going on and made great recommendations for initial treatment. She provided more information than the previous two places we had gone to earlier in the week. Also, unlike the previous two places we had gone, we did not feel like they were pressuring us into paying for expensive procedures that may or may not work. Dr. Palmer and Danielle actually showed care and concern for our kitty which isn't how we felt at the previous two places. I left with Oliver feeling confident in our decisions and treatment course. I am happy with our experience there and would recommend Cat Care of Vinings to anyone looking for a vet for their cats.
