I had back surgery for 2 herniated discs: L4 and L5. This was a work-related injury and Dr. Rosen was referred to me by the company doctor. The experience was very good - the staff was very good, the food at the hospital was good, and the level of care was very good. It was a really positive experience. Dr. Rosen did a very good job and he made a very small incision. He came and visited me in recovery and checked up on me to make sure I was doing good and that was real nice. He gave me a lot of time to heal before sending me back to limited work, and now I'm back to full work and fully capable of doing every thing I normally do. Dr. Rosen was the one that started the orthopadic center at the UCM Medical Center so he knows what he's doing. His level of expertise is topnotch!

As far as I am concerned, Dr. Rosen is a wonder, a marvelous doctor. He put in some rods and screws to stabilize my back where they had previously put in artificial discs that were coming out. I'm still here and I wouldn't be without it - I would be dead because the discs were coming out and you could see in the x-rays that they were protruding quite far out in my spine. They would have hit the aortic artery and I would have bled to death very shortly. So the experience was very good and Dr. Rosen was very professional. I interviewed several doctors from all over before I interviewed him. I was lied to by some and didn't trust others. I came across Dr. Rosen who I trusted implicitly, and I found out that he was a great surgeon on top of that so I had no hesitation whatsoever after interviewing him. He was the best of all the orthopedic surgeons. He's wonderful. He's a very compassionate and extremely honest man. One of the things he said to me was that if he didnt believe that he could be successful, that he wouldn't even do the operation. That was really, really good statement. He's extremely knowledgeable, very professional, has a very professional staff and everybody acted like they really knew what they were doing and cared. I felt completely at ease through the whole thing. He's probably the most qualified doctor for this type of surgery and he's helped me immensely.

Dr. Rosen was my doctor probably just a little longer than a year ago. He operated on my back which was 110% good. I was very satisfied with it. Very pleased everything turned out well, of course he said that if I have a recurrent problem I can go back anytime that I wanted, I can say without any hesitation that he is a wonderful person and a wonderful surgeon. I have already recommended Dr. Rosen to several people. I do not know if they had a chance to see him or had a chance talk to him yet. I would rate him a 10!

If I had to rate Dr. Rosen, from 1-5 - I'd give him A 10! The thing that I remember because I had a few neck surgeries in the past - with a particular procedure I remember waking up and I had some pain but he took care of that with patient controlled analgesics but I did not feel that groggy feeling that you get from anesthesia. The pain that precipitated the surgery was gone. The only pain that I had was the surgical pain and that bothered me for a day or two. I left the hospital the next day and went home. I can't imagine seeing another doctor other than Dr. Rosen. I left California and moved to Arizona in 2007 and I still go back to California and see Dr. Rosen
